Not a fan of the painted interior trim either, has to be said. But I thought a few mentioned that the carbon doesn't match the seats?

Does anyone know if the sports button can remain on? I can't see myself ever not using it! Does it also have the sound dampening setting at 3,500-4,000 rpm like the Cayman R (for damn environmental reasons). If so, anyone found the magic plug yet wink

Sport button is only auto blip.

what it does do is drop oil temps and water temps, so must open another rad or do something.

I tend to not press sport as I think it warms up faster off.

then if I want auto blip I press sport. I find I am out of sport more than in though as I like to do a bit of my own rev matching because it's fun :-)

I am finding the car takes a long time for the engine to warm up compared to the GT3.

Cue lots of predictable engine fire puns.......hehe

Carbon does not match the seats unfortunately. Probably not a big issue for most however, but it made me go for the leather interior trim on mine instead.

^^^Maybe a requirement for new Swiss spec cars?

Regardless of those that say that you shouldn't have parking sensors on a sports car, I think it would be a welcome option on a GT4 because of the wing and limited rear view. I remember well a certain GT4 owner accidentally reversing his GT3 into a friend's 964RS while at a track day. whistle

Wonder if it is an option if asked nicely?

It's not on the Swiss configurator so could be after market/dealer fit but it does look tidy like it was done at the factory!

I have a significant medical reason post retinal surgery to have sensors and I expressed my desire to have them fitted to OPC and PCGB who basically wouldn't accommodate me. Oh and in the spirit of service, I was warned that I could invalidate my warranty with after market fitting.

A reversing camera integrated with the PCM screen is easier to fit retrospectively than the ultrasonic sensors.

Yes it was me --- I could only see in the door mirrors because of the slope into the garages. The narrow 964 was smack in the middle. I could see a guy through my side window watching me struggle to see and reversing very slowly (not easy with a racing clutch). He just watched me touch the 964RS and did nothing. I hope he's reading this ...
Thankfully the friendship was more robust than the bruise ...

Me the same. Waiting for the oil temperature is a real pain. But the R didn't have an oil temperature readout. Anybody know at what oil temperature it is safe to press on ?

Warms up quicker with the Sport button off.

I don't have a GT4, but I have heard that if you take the sport button off and keep it in the engine compartment that it will warm up more quickly biggrin
