Have you tried warming it up with the sports button off - this may help ? smile
Hmmm.

You know! I think I'll try warming the car up with the sport button off, it might just make a difference

It sounds like it just might help. Do please report back...

Someone was asking about required engine temp before giving it the beans. 60 degrees C [oil, not water] seems the recommended level for TVRists.

I reckon the sport mode must open up another radiator or something....

Apparently if you press the sport button it improves cooling, and therefor it would take a bit longer for the car to warm up. I would suggest driving in "normal" mode with the button off until the car reaches operating temperature!

I was always taught that rear or mid engine cars would suffer if cold water from the front was suddenly released into the cooling system. Perhaps letting it warm up with the sport button on is the safer option especially in winter conditions.

The sports button aims to keep temperatures at 85c whereas normal temp is 105c this means it will take longer to heat up and will is driven slowly not even get to full temperature.

Exert from technical manual:

But what if i want to drive at 100 mph in 3rd gear to the chippy which is only 3.47 miles from my house?
Does this mean that I have to take the Bentley to get my dinner of an evening?

Its just bloody st isn't it.

Has anyone received a car with 'brushed aluminium anthracite trim' selected? Not many pictures of it around, hoping someone with an actual car can take a few pictures. Not entirely sure on it, but certainly much cheaper than mock carbon!

A new use for the sport button is to press in heavy traffic on hot summers day to run cooler! Should have had this on 9*7.1 would reduce bore scoring!

I have a significant medical reason post retinal surgery to have sensors and I expressed my desire to have them fitted to OPC and PCGB who basically wouldn't accommodate me. Oh and in the spirit of service, I was warned that I could invalidate my warranty with after market fitting.
Have a look here:

There are a few other threads on this. The PCM in the 991 is basically the same as that in the 981.

I dropped the outlaws at Bristol Airport yesterday and dropped in - I saw your car and took some pics, it really looks fantastic in the white and red combo, well done on a great spec.
Not too many have gone for white it seems but i think its one of the best colours. I didn't notice if yours was solid of metallic?
