A couple of extras lol biggrin

I've tried to keep it fairly lean, but my initial target of £70k became £73.5k with this spec. There were additional things I would have liked, but many of them required you to tick another box too! If I gave no consideration to the market, or my missus, I'd have not spec'd bluetooth or pcm, and I'd certainly be thinking twice about the £1k carbon if it didn't look so good!

lol, I know what you mean - my target of £75k ended up at £81k but much of that was the PCCB in fairness. Still on the whole we will have 2 pretty similar cars. thumbup

Smokers package is seriously worth consideration as its free - basically replaces the central bucket with a covered flap/tray. I'm certainly not a smoker but feel this will be handy to keep trinkets out of sight.

Very good to meet GTSralph today and to see his very special car, shame Porsche don't make one to his spec !
The P-Zeros were pretty good considering the acute lack of grip at Silverstone today, very pleased I changed the wheels and tyres over .
Hi Ravon, good to follow your wet lines, I must try harder!

I know quite a few have added it (basically because it is free) but in my view, I don't need a cigarette lighter as the USB will charge any devices, plus more cabling to go wrong. Also find an open pocket more useful to me, as I don't leave anything in the car, just what I take in and out with me.

I've got the telephone module vs prep and for the extra £70 quid I think it just gives you it's own aerial and better reception plus a few bits and bobs.

(70's child) still tempted to but a giffgaff sim in just so I can ring my wife up and say I'm on the car phone!!

That option however doesn't offer a Bluetooth link with your mobile phone though does it? Just looks like Bluetooth between an inserted sim card and the antenna?

No your phone will link via bluetooth just the same as normal prep. If you phone supports some posh protocol (my Samsung does, Apples don't!) then when it connects it turns off the aerial on the phone and uses the car one even though the phone is in your pocket. Essentially it uses the car to make the call but uses the SIM wirelessly via Bluetooth...

That has left me even more confused, as there is a 'Mobile phone preparation' option, a 'Telephone module' option and a 'Telephone module with Bluetooth® handset' option which requires you to select 'Telephone module'!!! I know little about phones and Bluetooth etc!

The Vehicle Key painted I would seriously question. The previous owner of my car sped'd it and while they look good new. The paint seems to have a tendency to chip (in Guards red), especially if you accidentally drop them, and after that it just looks cheap and tatty.

Is the phone prep really worth it? Given the nature of these cars and lack of sound insulation it's hardly going to be like wafting along in your Benz while on the phone. I didn't bother with it and that's coming from someone who is constantly on the phone. As much as I hate them I think an earpiece will be more useable. That said this is a weekend toy and not a daily for me!

must have for me should be a legal fixed option in a car imo.

would not buy a car without Bluetooth for phone.

I've gone for basic phone prep, after all its a sports car not a place to do business. The phone prep if fine in my opinion and works well in my Cayenne so I odnt see the point.

In terms of the larger spec above from Adam, I wanted the alcantara sun visors but you have to spec the light pack as well and then your nearly 500 quid!
I wanted anything on the interior that makes the car feel as special as possible hence more tactile surfaces such as alcantara.
I have also spec's the steering column in leather together with the red stitching that I have and also the inside door sills.

Complete waste of money but what the heck!

I doubt any one wants to do business in their car, but to take a call and say to the other half, "i'll be back in 25 mins", or "I'll phone you back later" or "I'am running late" it's a no brainer.
Blue tooth is a must have option and imo should be a legal requirement in cars in this day and age, as you still see so many people holding a phone.

the GT4 is a quite place to be done and said all.

a lot of people do seemed to have missed off

Cruise control
better lights
blue tooth

all must have options on a car today, did not have to think twice about ticking those options.

i have to disagree with cruise control?! I you're having sports seats then maybe if you're going to be sitting on the motorway with it but in a car with CS pack or bucket seats?

I didn't go with cruise. I never use it even on my daily driver and I do around 100 motorway miles a day to the office.

Plus easy to retrofit if wanted.

Agreed, I avoided cruise control too, never use it. Also no tick box for the lights, the standard ones are more than adequate and I'll rarely be driving it at night anyhow. I was close to picking the auto wipers, but I don't like the dimming mirror plus if I'm driving this car in the rain, I'll not be best pleased, as it will be a sunny weekend car biggrin
