Looks lovely!
I've read a few private ads that say ' for ale due to change in circumstances'... makes me laugh...

I also did not spec cruise control, have it on my Cayenne and never use because i'm constantly overriding it to avoid poor drivers on our congested motorways.Agree standard bi-xenoms plenty bright enough, but did spec PCM,phone and autowipers/autodim as cheap option and i'm used to having them, however if adaptive cc was an option i would tick it and should be legal in the UK.

I find auto wipers a god send. They were crap on my 5 series but on the Cayenne they're superb. Its just something else that you don't have to mess about with when driving in the rain...

i have to disagree with cruise control?! I you're having sports seats then maybe if you're going to be sitting on the motorway with it but in a car with CS pack or bucket seats?
helps when on the phone ;-)

but in all seriousness if say I am on my way to Silverstone via the M1( you have to drive these cars TO the track you know) , we have 20 miles at 50mph, just easy to set cruise at 53mph and you don't have to worry.

ALso you get these variable limits these days from 40mph to 60mph, just easy to set cruise.

and have you seen the new M1 smart camera's due to come on line ?
HADECS 3 smart motorway installations

The HADECS 3 speed cameras , including: and soon to be a lot more on the M1 !!

?M1 in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire
?M3 in Surrey and Hampshire
?M4/M5 in Somerset
?M6 around Birmingham
?M25 junctions 5 to 6/7 Kent
?M62 in West Yorkshire

So not sure how anyone can disagree with such a points saver for £267 option cost ! it's no brainer esp going forward with more and more smart camera installs.

Bluetooth
cruise
better lights

all seem no brainers to me if you want to use the bloody car and not just look at it. common sense options over a steering column in leather lol each to their own and all that and hence why we have options.

Love this pic from Iwan Evans in mid Wales. Not sure what your name is on here Iwan but you posted a few pics on here when you first had your car but I can't find them now.
You'll know the A470 well which is my stomping ground and a superb bit of tarmac North to South.

My car will look identical when it arrives soon.

We can disagree because we all have our views and opinions, just like you do. Do you drive yours or just look at it, can we have a mileage update, have you reached 100 miles yet? biggrin

I drive it hence I want these options.

Have you driven in the light damp ? I bet you have :-) so you use your wipers as you cannot see within 3 miles.

same with washers on lights, give it 5 miles and you lose about50% of their power due to dirt, been there on the side on roads spitting on my lights trying to get home after work it's no fun.

like wise, I don't want to pull over on the motorway to say to the mrs, I'll be 15 minutes late hold dinner a while. (I had to stop to clean my lights lol )

And last with all these hi spec camera's I want to get to track day without points if I need to use a motorway, cruise just works esp on the M1 for 20 miles at 53 mph.

NO BRAINER options all 3.

cannot see why people would NOT have them bar trying to skimp on spec, or just forgot to spec them and now need a reason not to have them !

I would love to see the reasons NOT to have those 3 options and peoples thoughts why unless people are only ever going to use them in the day, when dry and 100% never take a call ?

Well it looks like I'm going to get embroiled in the spec debate after all. Just got a call from my OPC and I have a May build slot! Have to say it wasn't looking good, but got there in the end.

Once again, personal opinions, you may want them, others don't, you can't argue why people would not want them and how they've skimped, just because they have different views! I can honesty say between car washes, on any car, in any condition, I've never had to clean my front lights to see, so that isn't a requirement for me. I'd agree the auto wipers is a nice to have and makes life easier, but I have no intentional plans on driving in the rain, and isn't a daily, so don't need it. Similarly with cruise control, never used it on my cars, even when they have it, I just maintain speed myself; never had a speeding ticket or points. What works for me, doesn't for others, and whilst these are low cost options, you have to draw the line somewhere.

I'm referring to any car, including daily drivers I'm less than interested in keeping tidy. The GT4 will however be a toy for the most enjoyable days, but I don't have a garage available for it. Different opinion to yours, just cope and move on.

I've tried to keep it fairly lean, but my initial target of £70k became £73.5k with this spec.
Fairly lean? My spec is lean!

P3 Racing Yellow (no charge)
802 Rear wing supports in black (no charge)
085 Fuel tank 64-litre (no charge)
583 Smoking package (no charge)
58 Black (stitching in Racing Yellow) Leather interior
750 Stitching in contrasting colour (extortionate)
P11 Full bucket seats
454 Cruise control
810 Carpet mats (extra in France)

The only things I wonder whether I should have added are automatically dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensor and two-zone automatic climate control. PCCB would have been nice for the weight but too expensive relative to the price of the car when the huge steels provide ample braking. If Porsche bring out a GT4 RS with GT3 shape power curve I'll probably go all out and get ceramics to have the perfect car.

I only included cruise because I had a 996 GT3, on which it was not an option, in the police state of Australia and it drove me crazy spending all my time having to watch stupidly low numbers of the speedo to keep my license. I vowed not to get another car without cruise but could easily do without it in Europe.

I'm saying that I've never had a car, daily or otherwise that justified the need for light washers, as I've never had to clean them off between regular car washes, even when used in the worst of weather. However, the GT4 isn't intended to be used in anything but the most enjoyable weather, so even less reason for me to justify that option.

Anyway, I've fallen once again into the trap of feeding the resident troll, so I'll leave it there. Enjoy your car and all your buttons wink
