There is also the situation that harnesses hold you upright which may not be good if the car rolls over and there is no roll over cage - hence I suspect Porsche would not like harnesses installed without a cage.
This has been mentioned before and i do agree. It might not be a full cage but your head is just in front of it so you will get some protection if you roll it and much more than without a cage.I do think that if you're planning on doing a few track days as I am, then get the CS pack, it makes sense.

Hi,
I was wondering....A lot of pictures of recently delivered cars all with Red Harnesses? Were these specified as Red?
Originally a lot of the cars had Yellow Harnesses? The Colour of the Harness doesn't seem to be quoted on the configurator/order? Anyone know if you can specify a colour?
Also, what time would the spec be locked from the delivery date? 4 weeks?
Cheers
I have posted this before but for the benefit of latecomers!I was wondering....A lot of pictures of recently delivered cars all with Red Harnesses? Were these specified as Red?

This is mine, Sapphire Blue, yellow stitching, cage and belts. I changed the harnesses to the correct Porsche spec Black Schroth items with yellow stitching. I know I am biased but I think it looks great
The red harnesses just looked very very silly. If I had to order again I would not bother with the yellow seat belts if I could have black. They are a bit bright.
The only harness colour from Porsche is red but Schroth do quite a range in the correct Porsche spec.
Incidentally I always use the harnesses even If I am just nipping to the chippy. I never did that in any of my GT3's but somehow they are more comfy in the GT4 and easier to get on and off.

I'm really not speculating, I thought the Gt4 would do it for me but I yearn more power and flappy paddles. If my intention was to sell I'd have sold it with 0 miles. Anyway if it doesn't sell I'll just suffer it!
Good luck with the sale. Let us know how it goes as it would be interesting to see if they are selling at these high prices.Regarding the roll cage. A full roll cage would require you to drive with a helmet as otherwise the risk of your head hitting the roll cage is very high as a result of a sudden impact. So i am not a great fan of roll cages and 4/5 point harnesses of the track. The harness also restricts your movement to the extend that you cannot properly look out of junctions etc.

To have spec'd it that well I don't think you were speculating . If it's not for you fair enough. I on the other hand can't stop driving mine so each to their own, good luck with the sale as someone will get a brilliantly spec'd car. av185 said:
A rare statement on a GT4 thread.....but entirely understandable.
Your car is good value having regard to its high spec. Good luck with the sale....you won t regret buying a PDK GT3 one bit!
Agreed, GT3 PDK great car . Lots of fun time to be had in my GT4 this year before I move it on though and go PDK Your car is good value having regard to its high spec. Good luck with the sale....you won t regret buying a PDK GT3 one bit!
Just driven 550 miles today over a wide mixture of roads between Oxon, the end of Cornwall and then up north. My car has now covered 1300 miles and I am using more of the power now and 6k rpm. Very very pleased with it. My face hurts from smiling too much...
Observations. The LWBs are seriously comfortable - big surprise that I was not feeling any pain after 9 hours at the wheel ( in 2 stints), especially as I have a collapsed disk. The car is feeling run in now and comes alive when the engine comes on cam about 4K rpm. Noise good as well. The clonking from the suspension evident in the first 200 miles has now gone. Downside is the stereo. I have the best sound system on offer (PCM and stereo plus?) but I miss the depth and power of the systems in my other cars, especially since the GT4 is quite noisy at speed and a bit of music volume is required! I have Dunlops which coped well in the wetter moments but don't like standing water - no surprise there though. As the day went on I gained confidence leaning on these tires in the damp having been quite cautious initially. Still thinking of switching to Cup 2s but would like to hear comparative views between these and the Dunlops. High speed stability is great and I reckoned I could sense the aero working. Certainly looking in the rear view mirror in the rain the swirl of downforce on the spray kicked up was very noticeable. On smaller roads this car is incredibly nimble and composed - it changes direction without any hesitation. On faster sweeping A roads the ride smooths out and the car is simply majestic in the way it eats the miles. I have PCCBs which are very strong but I have no reference point to compare them with steels.
I returned 23mpg on Shell 99 octane. Given that I am still being relatively gentle with it, I seriously wonder how anyone thinks 30+ is possible!
