CD-R delete and no CS?
I hope you are looking to keep this car forever I fear you may struggle to sell it on with that spec!

Nice move. Please weigh it when you get chance, full fluids if possible.

Will do. Ta
I wasn't bothered with CDR as I won't be listening to it when I'm driving! I personally feel that in car 'entertainment', sat nav etc can date a vehicle as technology moves on so quickly.
Regarding the comment re CS spec and resale, I think you could argue that you'd need to delete the air con also, which is something I didn't want to do.

Now that's what i call a nicely specced GT4,agree with focker re guards and white best for GT4 and GTSM as a safe and classy albeit expensive option.Mine also PCCB's and Dunlops.
Took mine for a 30 mile jaunt late tonight and found traction is not the best at 5c but the Dunlops are very good in the wet.Averaged 20.5mpg driving like a hearse which is a record for me,how come the GT4 is so thirsty, its very puzzlying!.
Strange as I'm averaging about 26 mpg, still running in so not going above 6k revs but you must have a very heavy right foot or live next door to a track. But does it really matter.....Took mine for a 30 mile jaunt late tonight and found traction is not the best at 5c but the Dunlops are very good in the wet.Averaged 20.5mpg driving like a hearse which is a record for me,how come the GT4 is so thirsty, its very puzzlying!.
Enjoy in good health which is all that matters in the end.
I am averaging about 21mpg and I am keeping below 4k revs but the engine does feel tight and mpg should improve with mileage as the engine loosens up! My 987 spyder averaged 25.5 mpg over 4k miles but would at least do 30 mpg on a motorway run. Imo the restriction of power is the problem for poor fuel economy so if the engine was tuned for full power the fuel economy would improve.
What I have noticed I tend to drive in the lower gears a lot more where as previous cars I have always changed up earlier.

In my OPC yesterday and my sales chappy who is a lovely chap but knows jack st about engineering was telling me that Porsche were considering offering a different diff (lower geared) for the GT4. Can't see it myself and I would take it with a massive sack of salt but he offered that titbit unasked. Mind you he wouldn't know what a diff was even if it fell on his foot.
As far as economy goes mine is hovering around 11MPG on a blast and 20MPG on a longer Motorway run. Which is worse than my 991GT3!!!!! Glad the oil price has plummeted
Might be tempted back into an M5 now

Of course, what none of us know is how long these humungous carbon brakes will last ...
They are the same as those of the GT3RS which weighs 100 kilos more and pushes that mass along with a extra 100 bhp ...
Also, the carbon discs are improving ... but yes, they should be looked after.
On the other hand, who would not do a warming up lap if only to check that everything is still where it ought to be, --- and cooling down laps not using the brakes are surely also a bit of fun
P.S. I will also do far more miles on the road than I will on track ... 'must just make a mental note not to stick it in the kitty litter !
Thanks for the taxi ride around cadwell today Chris! How many G's were we pulling again? They are the same as those of the GT3RS which weighs 100 kilos more and pushes that mass along with a extra 100 bhp ...

MPG ....
G's ....
On M P Super Sports ... it was fun
P.S.
You are most welcome. As you may have noticed, I was enjoying myself !
As an aside, the car was on standard ARB settings and running as much negative camber as we can whilst retaining reasonable toe, --- did you notice any understeer ?

No lift on Mountain in second --- the suspension coped with this so well --- just a slight upward blip of revs and I held second through Hall to avoid a rushed change down from third to second into the Hairpin.
Having said that, third would have been great through Hall and I'm not sure that I gained much because I didn't allow the revs to go up to the red.
As for MPG, the fuel did go quickly ! I was a little suspicious of the round number but wanted to believe it ...
