not got PN to hand but folding visors were an option on all 996 911's & probably all 986 (?) .. I have them on both my 996 GT3's.. I've also seen 996 GT3's specced without them too.

As Mike says they are clubsport visors also standard on the Rs to give clearance for the front cage when fitted.
They are a actually the same as early 986 boxster.

But some cages (earlier models) have the roof bar closer to the top of the windscreen than others. The white one in the picture is a later one which helps make the visors fold. If you have an earlier one it is almost impossible to fold the visors even the split ones.

A ha! Interesting geeky fact smile
I was wondering about that.
I've got two cars where one allows the visor to fold and the other does not. I always wondered whether the one that did not fold was some kind of aftermarket front section. It also means that the visors are basically always down when the front section is installed.
Cheers.

My mk1 CS has the early cage with foldable visors. No chance in hell you can fold them back. Makes sense in a way - race cars use sunstrips, which would look dubious on a road car, hence the visors go forward, acting like a sunstrip, without the funny looks by the rozzers in Germany for example...

By inference I think you may find you cannot replicate the folded look of the 6RS in your initial picture....May be this is also an RS / CS difference?

Thanks for the part numbers. Any reason why these should not fit a Mk 996 GT2 CS with full roll-cage?
