Hi

I've just bought a Porsche Cayenne GTS 2008 which I'm really enjoying though it is thirsty!

I have a couple of issues with the PCM and I wondered if anyone can give some advice.

Firstly I can't seem to use the navigation without the radio being on, it must be possible but it has me stumped. Any ideas anyone?

Secondly is there any point upgrading the PCM with a CD. I'm getting mixed advice as to how much worthwhile and if it will give me any benefit with functions apart from obviously map upgrades.

Mine does not do postcodes, only coordinates. Apparently it's only the 2010 models upwards that are upgradable to postcodes.

Thanks a lot

Justin

Hi Justin,

I'm not familiar with the Porsche PCM system, however if it is similar to Mercedes' COMAND system, there should be a 'Mute' button somewhere? This will effectively turn off the radio/CD/iPod/etc. (and pause it) - effectively acting as an off button for the Audio side of things. It should not mute the navigation system or bluetooth telephone. Do you have a 'Mute' button somewhere?

Sunny.

you can input the first 5 digits of the postcode. This is done under town. Use the postcode rather than the town name
