RobGt3 ..... Any news on the impending delivery ?
Car should be with the dealer end of this week, thanks for asking. The sales manager rang me yesterday to tell me the good news, also that the four requests that I had suggested to me on this forum would be attended to.

After 23 years in the motor trade both as salesman and sales manager I am delighted to receive such a high level of unprompted service, care and enthusiasm from my OPC.

Quite what we have planned with our GT3 for 2015 I am not sure. My last Aston was used purely for fun as we have other vehicles. Still managed to rack up 17000 miles in 14 months ! It completed 2 Alpine tours with PetrolHead Nirvana, a Euro Hoon and a track day at Rockingham. In that time it consumed 2 sets of rear tyres plus one of fronts. More of the same I guess. Hope to take delivery 2nd December. First up is our course at Silverstone, should be fun, hope its raining!

Having met you both at Burghley with your Aston I have been following your posts with interest and look forward to your report when you get the Porsche which hopefully will be very soon.
Hope you are both keeping well.
Best regards
Steven

I would suggest that before you leave the dealership just try the car on full lock left and right forwards and reverse. May save you a trip back.
Just remember that you will get tyre scrub and judder at v.low speed on full lock in temperatures below 10C.

Is there a technical answer as to why they do this? Although I've noticed that my GT3 is slightly better than my C2, I think that the 4WS may help reduce scrub

Ackerman steering geometry. Many cars do this.

smileBoth the above are true and stated by my OPC, but when they had the car and looked, discovered it wasn't either, but the disc backing plate rubbing. smile

Having read this, I would prefer to mine coal, than work in an OPC

Yes...firstly....enjoy the car. Seriously....just enjoy the car.

Secondly.....dont worry about the weather...it's a car.
Obviously don't give it a name and please allow the suffering Service Department / OPC time to disconnect the massive red telephone they must have needed to install, to deal with your daily requests and 'pending 'thorough familiarisation plan'.

Perhaps a bunch of flowers for them....they will deserve it
Rob , very funny smile

Looks stunning. Congratulations! Who chose the number plate? Molllllly.... smile

Question:
Why has it got pink lipstick and a smile on it's face?

Looking forward to seeing 'dirty' pictures of after being well used!

Well Rob. that looks quite surreal seeing a GT3 sitting inside the Aston lair.biglaugh You must be thrilled.

Let's get it out their, it needs to meet its brethren. Thinking some Welsh Christmas meets/hoons would be a great idea.

Talk later about that. Think a couple of others would like to see that thing move, as well.
