SharkWerks 991 GT3 Bypass
Discussion
Slightly off topic and these won't make your 911 sound any better but we've just had these items of Sharkwerks clothing arrive into stock....
Hoodies available in 'Shark Grey' or '4.1 Blue', these are top quality with full zip up front, Sharkwerks logo printed on sleeves and image on back. Very nice material and very warm!
And these 'Shark Grey' T-Shirts with printed chest and back. Again top quality and full range of sizes...

We've just made another 991 GT3 owners car sound a lot better selling our last stock Sharkwerks exhaust upgrade! This one is heading down to Kent for a 2015 registered car.
We do have others on order and will let you know when they hit the UK....
that would be mine then We do have others on order and will let you know when they hit the UK....
We've just received a new batch of Sharkwerks exhaust in the UK and have 3 x 991 GT3 rear silencer bypass kits left which are available immediately from stock...
These pipes really allow you to enjoy the epic 991 GT3 soundtrack more of the time as opposed to just when you're 'on it'!
(Please note the black RS lightweight tailpipe kits in the picture are only available for the 997 GT3 but Sharkwerks are releasing some mega 100mm 991 GT3 specific tips in the coming weeks)
Any questions please get in touch,
Chris

So got round to fitting the sharkwerks bypass to my gt3. Having tried all interations of the exhuast, valves connected/disconnected with and without the sharkwerks I can conclude that sharkwerks with valves disconnected for me is the best combination. Valves disconnected with the standard backbox creates too much drone, but with the freer flowing sharkwerks the drone is elimated with the valves disconnected. Now the car sounds like it should have done from the factory with great sounds througout the rev range. Thanks to Chris at ABP for supplying the bypass system.

when you say "it's how it should sound" as a track day car it then makes the car not pass any UK track day, and I guess not many people can or want to do test days.I for one would not want to arrive home at 108DB late at night.
I cannot say I see GT3's and think, boy that's quite !

Yes tracks are a seperate issue, but even in standard form at higher revs it wont pass most tracks anyway. Its a subtle improvement rather than garishly loud, but definately needed as the car for a gt3 is just too quiet at lower revs in stock form. I for one would not want to arrive home at 108DB late at night.

The one issue most 991 GT3 owners I talk to have is the fact that whilst the car sounds glorious at high RPM it is well into illegal territory and the addition of the Sharkwerks bypass allows more of the great sound-track throughout a much larger and accessible rev range. Once the valves are open it sounds great right through from modest RPM.
And with the valves closed it is barely louder than the stock rear silencer so no need to irritate the neighbours.
Track day noise regs - they're a completely different can of worms and standard 991 GT3's often struggle on 105db days.
The man who comes up with an effective temporary noise reducing solution that is simple to install / revert back and is going to be very popular!

Welcome to the club! Glad to see you finally did it!Well I struggled to sleep over the weekend after having the pleasure of being exposed to this stunning Riviera Blue 991 GT3 on Saturday at ABP....
This car looked stunning in the flesh and sounded epic after we fitted the Sharkwerks bypass pipe.
The owner emailed me on Saturday night describing the new soundtrack as "fantastic, addictive and intoxicating" which was far more pleasurable to hear than what the values have done in the last 6 minutes..... LOL!
We have more of these arriving in next week with some exciting new tailpipe kits too....

Arriving in next week we have the new Sharkwerks RS lightweight thin wall 991 GT3 '100mm' black ceramic coated tailpipe kits....
These are 12mm larger than the stock 991 GT3 tailpipes and being thin wall they give the optical illusion of being even larger. They are lighter than the OE tailpipes and will fit to either the standard 991 GT3 rear silencer or the more popular Sharkwerks bypass pipe.
We have 5 sets coming in and have advance orders for 2 already so looks like they are going to be popular. Some images to wet your appetite prior to them arriving....
