No, a 997.1 GT3. The SW RRP price is the same for both the 997 & 991. I can't see the labour cost being different. If anything, it should be quicker to change the rear muffler on a new car.
Did you order it direct from SW or via a UK importer?
Direct. I acquired it last year. I wanted a solution which could be quickly changed over to meet track day noise restrictions. My car was recorded at 104db with the SW pipe fitted at Donnington a few months ago. The SW system can be changed for the OEM system in about an hour.

Was the Dollar so much weaker then? $1500 plus shipping and VAT would be easily over £1300 now.

The dollar rate was favourable and so was the deal I agreed. To be fair, I am not sure they had a UK agent at the time.

$ to £ conversion rate obviously makes a big difference to the UK price and the rate us currently quite low compared with 5 months ago.

Sharkwerks retail is $1,500
Plus shipping @ approx $170
Plus import duty approx 5%
Plus VAT @ 20%
Plus disbursement charges approx £25
At current exchange rate you're looking at approx £1,400 if you buy directly from Sharkwerks

We are now stocking these in the UK (997.2 including GTS and PSE, 991 GT3 and 997.1 & 997.2 GT3) and this saves you money as opposed to importing yourself.

In 2015 we will be sea freighting these in which will bring the price down further.

Agree , it's exactly like that , I'm really glad you like it - it gets better and better - you'll have to be v carefull on the tyres when wet and cold , but you'll be amazed by the grip level when warm and dry - roll on spring ! smile

Why does this number keep getting repeated over an over on here? It's wrong. It's a lot more than 132

Why do people challenge data and then offer theirs as "a lot more"

How many more?

How do you know?

I think the 132 figure came from Apolo1 but is backed up by "how many left".

I would love to know an accurate figure.

How is 132 backed up by How Many Left? All that tells you is that 105 cars have been registered up to April 2014. I don't believe there have been ( or will be in total) only 27 cars registered in the UK since then to the end of their availability, do you? I'd like to know the number too but I guess we will have to wait until the site is updated. All I'm saying is it will be more than 132 in the UK and if I had to guess, maybe 160-175 (ish), who really knows at this point.

I'm challenging the "data" (assuming you are defining something Apolo said as data) because it doesn't make sense. I don't have to know what the final figure will be to do that do I?

Errrr, yes sorry for dragging the thread "slightly off topic". I won't mention it again for the rest of the year, I promise.

Of course not.

My apologies.

I guess we all like the idea of 132 but i don't think another 50 will dilute the market at all.

Strictly not a 991 GT3 but just had this in from California (3 days delivery time!) for a customer down in London.

Sharkwerks 997.1 GT3 rear silencer bypass and Sharkwerks 88mm black ceramic coated RS tailpipe kit. Should sound and look epic!

We've just made another 991 GT3 owners car sound a lot better selling our last stock Sharkwerks exhaust upgrade! This one is heading down to Kent for a 2015 registered car.

We do have others on order and will let you know when they hit the UK....
