I have to admit that the videos do sound incredible, and if the system is appropriately quiet when the exhaust is 'turned off' then it is very tempting.

Do you have anything in writing from SharkWerks or Porsche about warranty implications or is it purely 'word of mouth' and 'common sense'.....???
Hi Sid. It is louder when SE not on but only a tiny bit .

Re warranty , purposely didn't ask - head firmly in the sand - I didn't want to know in case this stopped me doing it : the lack of noise with the SE off or on was annoying me - let me know what they say smile

What do you guys think of disconnecting the valves?

The guy "Matt" in the states has his Sharkwerks by pass fitted and has now disconnected valves too.

In the videos below you will see the car dyno'd and the conclusion they reach is that the car has more torque and power with them disconnected as well as a more pleasing exhaust note and the absence of "annoying" valves opening and closing.
They also conclude the valves have no purpose other than sound management.

My SW muffler bypass and tailpipe kit in black ceramic cost less than £950. This included the 1.25 HR labour charge for my local indie to fit it.
Congratulations - you win smile

No, a 997.1 GT3. The SW RRP price is the same for both the 997 & 991. I can't see the labour cost being different. If anything, it should be quicker to change the rear muffler on a new car.
Ah technical breach - not sure you win anymore - I'm back in te game ! smile

Absolutely fking fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive had it 3 hours, Ive not been over 6500 rpm (Only at 690 miles from new)
and it has blown my mind. I am in Love.
Ive had some cars in my time (430 Scuderia included) but this is what I was always looking for.
Mt first drive in any 991 gt3 was this one today when I already owned it.
I knew I would be happy but delirious is more like it smile

If anyone is thinking of buying one just do it.

Agree , it's exactly like that , I'm really glad you like it - it gets better and better - you'll have to be v carefull on the tyres when wet and cold , but you'll be amazed by the grip level when warm and dry - roll on spring ! smile
