I got mine today - £5,200.

Mine was due to incorrect wording on the contract.

Damn, my OPC must have done everything right much to my dismay.

I've heard nothing and had finance with them for last 3 years smile

It said, you owe us £5200. It should have said We owe you £5200?

Great result either way!! That practically makes it interest free I suppose!

Had similar from VW finance before Xmas, re: our Q5, similar wording but unfortunately, only a 1 month, £47 refund frown

LOL Jackie.

The omission on my contract was to do with termination rights and yes it's pretty much all the interest I paid over a 3 year period.

Any chance of some further info on the exact omission on the contract? I'd love to screw some more money out of them :-)

Is this something initiated by you as the buyer or by the financial services themselves?

Following a review of the annual statements of account that we sent to you regarding your agreement with us, we have identified that we did not remind you of your right to voluntary terminate your contract before completion. We apologise for this omission. The consequence of this is that we are not entitled to retain the interest paid by you after the first incorrect statement was due to be sent to you.

Yup, I got this too.

Best Christmas present since my racing bike with 531 tubing in 1986.

Combined with the strong residuals of the Spyder, a fabulous 4 years of fun...

Thanks so much for the info. I might give them a little nudge ;-)

Something similar happened to me with a Halifax mortgage a few years ago. Cheque for £1800 as they hadn't met one of the industry guidelines on wording in a contract. Never affected me and I would've never noticed anything if they hadn't pointed it out. Result!!!
