The 996RS has the highest proportion of RHD cars of all GT3s (140 in total so just over 20% of production {mostly UK but that also includes Aussie, South African, etc..}). Consequently this means that the LHD 996RS is the rarest of all left hand drive GT3s (both numerically and by proportion of production) and left hook is the biggest market for them. For most other GT3s the proportion of right hook is well below 10% (the only exception being the 991). For contrast, the UK got only 4.5% of the RS 4.0 production, so those are very rare and thus bonkers money.

Make sense?
yes

not really. arguably the ultimate RS based on pureness/ability/numbers combination. has literally everything going for it. looks purposeful too with narrow body and lw philosophy .....

real no nonsense car as close to the cup cars as one can ever get to. Everything after it is a compromise.
I thought it was a dog, a K9? Understeery and badly set up etc etc. It will never be worth anything because of its looks.

biggrin
And you'll need to spend £20k getting it set up by your own personal F1 team.

This is fun! biggrin
Ade's (KIL) car had £80k having this done - I kid you not

In the interests of full disclosure, I have to confess I have spent a not-dissimilar sum of money developing mine (non-RS) but my excuse is I couldn't afford a Cup and a road car so I had one car to do both jobs. Which turned out to be more expensive than having one of each. Doh!

Wouldn't swap it for the world. The memories and the car itself.

It's a true car. Reflects an input honestly and with predictability. A good car for a mediocre driver who aspires to be better

I called on it too but car wasn't at dealers who were advertising it and couldn't be bothered to go up to (I think) Lincolnshire. Well done Ade as she would have been wasted on me. I love the fact that she's still pounding around a track as Porsche intended.
