Thinking of swapping my 3.2 Carera (which I love) for either a 964 or a 993 Turbo (3.3l) - Although I know a little bit about the early stuff , I have no idea about 911's after '89. I guess it would really help to know what the common issues are and how to spot these , what one should pay , who are the best dealers and I guess the pro's and cons for each. Any advice would be really welcome - thanks in advance RSVP911 smile

If your coming from a 3.2 Carrera I would wager that you would prefer the 964t.

I also have one if your interested!

Did you buy the silver 964 Turbo 3.6.? Saw it was sold yesterday.
If so, congrats.

every time I see a picture of a 964 Coupe, I realize again how much I want one. Just the perfect looking car imo, Turbo especially great looking.

Question

Whats a black 964 3.6 turbo with black sports seats, RHD, 65000 miles worth? 4 owners. Assume its an original panel car with very good provenance.

I'm not sure but at that money its up against a very nice 458 or MC12. Would you swap out of yours for a 458 or MC12 based on the drive and ignoring the investment potential which may see prices go down as well as up?

No, not when you factor in depreciation, servicing etc.

I now own a car that I couldn't afford to buy!
