It is only starting , the main dealers have got onto the story as well as they know you can make 40-50% on a classic ( All HR Owen dealerships now have classics ) you cannot make that on new car sales.
The Porsche independents are all great hardworking guys who love Porsche it is not their fault , the Porsche OPCs will be in the market one day then all can moan.

Porsche are setting up three classic centres in Feb. OPC Hatfield one of them. They'll completely mess it up though as you need 100% long term commitment and staff that have forgotten more about classic Porsches than we will ever know. Sadly I reckon know more than every single salesman at OPC Hatfield about classic Porsches and I'm useless on my old cars especially pre 1985.

When you see cars drop £30k at top dealers you then realise the dealers were taking the piss on the 1st sale price,

Totally agree with OP. I've been half interested in changing my 987 boxster (after a couple of fun years motoring) for a late 944S2 or turbo and have noticed certain dealers reposting the same 'sold' cars every 2 days. It is extremely off-putting to anyone seriously in the market and it's the blatant attempt at manipulation by the dealers that galls. I've pretty much decided that if that's the way it's going then I'm no longer interested - at those prices it's just too risky. It's confirming my thoughts that taking your chances with the M96/97 cars is the only way to go...
