Apparently, the woman who was driving was a 'friend' of the owner and confused the accelerator pedal with the brake!!

Stupid bh! 6 months in jail, 2 year driving ban, mandatory retest! redcard

Not for the car, though I think she deserves a slap for that, but for confusing the pedals? Jesus H Christ! Think what could've happened if there'd been a woman with a pushchair walking past the tree... furious

Seems incredible... But depending on the final figures, China will possibly overtake the US and become the biggest market in the world for Porsche this year...

To be fair that isn't that bad, I've seen worse. If the woman had any sense she'd have stopped off at a breakers yard or called Porsche-apart, stuck on a gen 2 Cayman s bumper in seal / atlas (only 5 screws to change), swapped the alloy with the spare wheel, then got it valleted, yes it wouldn't be perfect but the owner probs wouldn't have noticed unless he looked at it really carefully when she brought it back

Good grief and you'd think the owner would take at least a bit of time to acclimatise to the performance of such a car before shouting "watch this!" and hitting the loud pedal (assuming that's what happened of course smile )

Except the owner was sat along side her.

If this guy had just braked, wouldn't the car have stopped in time? It cant have been going very fast at all and has a lot of rubber to use.

Well then she should have carried on as though nothing happened, turned the radio up so you wouldn't hear the flat tyre, and driven to a supermarket with him, then acted all shocked and indignant on treturning to the car and blame the ding on someone who parked next to her that's what I'd have done
