Any technical reason why the CGT always came close to the pit wall when exiting the corner?
Everyone else seemed to keep out to the left.
Probably for photos!

A few pics from today. This has become one of my favourite events of the calendar year, and I don't even take part!

Got slightly obsessed with all the 991 GT3s.

6 991 GT3's in 5 different colours, a handful of 997 GT3RS's, some lovely gen 1 and gen 2 GT3's, 996 RS's and some fabulous 70's cars.
Was that yellow one an RSR? It was a beauty and the sound was just superb as it passed me smile
Indeed it was a great day this year. Grippy track and great manners out there. Absolutely zero issues out on track and no red flags. And don't forget the ten 964s that took part, adding to the spectacle. smile

Indeed it was fab, and my dear old 993 managed to get in one of the pics further up this page smile

So many 964s there and having a go, the 964 just gets prettier every year and good to see so many. The new GT3 is just ...wow, and sounds fantastic.

For me the car that stood out and looking VERY quick was the (I'm assuming its legit) 993 GT2 in I think Midnight Blue. Very impressive.

Watch the racing drivers, all the fast ones do it. Just let the car flow rather than pulling left on to the pit straight.

You really must come and have a passenger ride next time...as long as you've got a stomach stronger than the chap who went in Kev's yellow RS and asked him to take him back to the paddock after two corners! hehe

He needs to go out in Ade's slick shod 996 GT3 RS "Cup car" ......... I've had pax laps around Oulton in a bike engined Caterfield, Vic Coens old Audi RS blue 993 GT2, Yellow 491's 993 GT2 Evo race car.
Ade's car was by far the most impressive. driving

It was a great day and on track etiquette was very good indeed. The only downside of the day for me was the intro and driver's briefing. The facts were covered but I think it needs to be a bit more animated to make sure people are awake and take it in, plus it wasn't treated any differently to any other track day, whereas in the past there's been a charity element to it, with regard to passenger rides etc, a welcome for overseas attendees (the Oirish) and a recognition of how many years it's been going as an annual event (15?). Perhaps Mel Spear's absence (due to his 3 month holiday in the Southern Hemisphere...) simply meant that there was no-one there to do it.

Having seen all the pictures now I realise I should have spent more time walking around the paddock, silly me.

Lol. I'll hold you to that next year I'll. bring my crash helmet. I think we had a very brief chat (though I didn't introduce myself) last year at the pcgb day at Anglesey? Unless there is more than one of you and you've both got ' Boxsey' on the side window of your 911. smile

Work prevented me attending this year with the lads from the North. Very very jealous. Great to hear everyone had such a good day. Stay safe.

Hi goose

Yes it was the 15th,its normally myself or mel organises the charity part,i tried to get the sean edwards foundation interested as the charity/ fund raiser,as i thought it was fairly relevant for the 15th event.great to see so many cars, all the crap about values went to the wind with so many gt and rs etc where they belong on track not in a garage, and well done for great driving standards.
Managed to take the chequered flag again with a fairly empty track from 3 pm ish,and great weather again.
We will organise something special for the 20th.

A few laps with PorscheSauce in the 991 GT3.

First few laps of the day and first time out with the GT3 on track, so a fair amount of sympathy for the brakes and tyres, then some traffic.

I bet Angelsey was stunning today, I'd have been there had I not had other commitments. frown

Not sure if Jordan's dad is on here, but here's the vid of her pax laps as promised. Hope she enjoyed the day:

Again, that looks so easy. But all I know is that Jordan enjoyed this ride above the 996 and 997 so what do I know?

Maybe I have been superseded?
