I love the 50th, I love it even more when it's clean and the roads aren't covered in salt, mud, poo etc but it does actually look quite cool totally s**t up!

I get an inner smirk when you see people tut tutting as you go past as though it's some sort of massive social disgrace as well.

If I wanted a 997 Turbo I'd be modelling it after yours I think IMIA.
Wheels & Power Mods. The extra rubber just looks so right and ready for the road.
Good Work.

Just their circuits unfortunately as it was the "Warm Up" course. In the morning I was doing the Boxster GTS experience freebie that comes with my new car order, so just wanted a "cheap" half day top up since I was going all the way up there and taking a day off to do it.

I had an awesome time and the new Boxster is excellent (so excited to get my BGTS now), but truth be told, after a few laps it feels a bit pointless going round their circuits in the GT3 (and to a lesser extent the manual Boxster) as you never really get out of second gear. However c*cking around on the low friction surfaces learning how to drift the GT3 and do 360s in it was a lot of fun smile Just maybe do it in the morning rather than after lunch on a full stomach hehe

I agree I found it boring and never got out of 3rd gear in a turbo S. Good lunch though. Do they sell packages on the full circuit then?

I think the Precision Driving Course is a full day with the afternoon on the full Silverstone circuit....

Driving on Silverstone is at their discretion. When I did Precision I requested to drive on the race circuit but when I got there they said I could not so I had to stick to the mini circuit. Also the Precision course was no different to the Warm Up course, i.e. more of the same over a longer period so not worth it IMO. Some good instructors though and if you have not done it it is worth doing at least once.

I think most people would be better off at Bedford Autodrome on days run by Javelin on their GT Circuit. £135 from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Excellent VFM and very nice track with technical bits and a straight where you can hit approaching 160mph in a quickish car, two other smaller straights where you hit 140mph on the circuit followed by some quite difficult corners. You really know if your cars dialled in or not and in most places good run off areas. Did see a pile up on day I was there a few months ago which is only downside.
