If there are any other missing that are interested in the run let us know via PM. As it stands it is going to be hard for accommodation for the Saturday night as we have had an excellent take up, there are options left and we will share these off-forum.

Hi Schnellmann Not sure what has happened there as we haven't had a PM from you. Thinking the PH PM system has gremlins as thats a few now though we have responded to over 30+ folks so sorry you haven't had a response. I've PM'd you our contact emails so you can get the details.
Best
Steve

IT doesn't seem to be a PH strength!
Thanks for the email.

ugh I just returned from a weekend trip to edinburgh (left friday afternoon) ..... i have to say ti was rather horrible to get there and back. about 9 hours to get there and about 8 hours to get back. the first 150km took me 3 hours on friday. is there some type of car train to take you up and back? would love to join the scotland trip, but am not sure i can stomach this again - hopefully change my mind once a little time has passed. english motorways are just so so crowded until you get to roughly manchesterMDahmen said:

I'm afraid the old Motorail service was canned in 1995. And your experience was one reason for me moving out of England: if it's any incentive for you to grit your teeth and hack out of the home counties, I went for a weekday run up through Glencoe last week and, in 100 miles round trip, probably saw a couple of dozen other vehicles…Technomad said:

I know that getting up to Scotland can be a pain (had to do it the other way around) but have you thought about using a car transport firm to take some of the cars up and back?
That way you can rock up to Edinburgh airport with your cars waiting for you. Maybe better organising a firm down south but I am sure the Scotland section has a lot of recommendations on transport firms.
Cheers
George
Ps You will love the roads up here

I will be heading up from London, and am not looking forward to the trip up to Glasgow and back again - I have had to factor in a day either side of the real action. Arranging for group transport is a fantastic idea - are there any others in London/the London area who would be interested in this? If so, do send me a PM and we can look into the costs.
Stunning weekend. Some of the best roads I've driven. And most deserted (apart from the other PHers!) Thanks again to Steve and the other organisers. Great bunch.
For any southerners put off by the distance: it is more than worth it when you get there. Even if you might experience all four seasons in a 24 hour period (do they do snow chains for GT3?
