Two beautiful looking cars there GT3-RS, not a lot of Modena green RS2000's around.
I had quite a few sporty Ford escorts back in the day and am beginning to get a notion for another.
thank you sir.....love the Escort if you want another one you'd better be quick the prices for top notch ones are rocketing there anywhere between £25k for an Ok one to £40k for a top notch one and for RS1600 £50k+.....

PS.....just to let you into a secret mines reluctantly up for sale (only at the right price)....which I'll no doubt come to regret within weeks of selling it

I rarely get envious, but I am after looking in your garage smile I had a MK1 RS2 same as yours but with arches back in 1978, paid 2K for it, sold it for 2K couple of year later!
I also had a Mk 1 RS1600, Monza blue, sold it as it was going rusty!!!

Does the RS2 feel REALLY old now?

cheers

I take it yours is the one in the classifieds at the moment GT3-RS?

How long have you had it? I need to get the stripes added, it looks so much better smile

There are some AVO Escorts coming up at Silverstone's next auction.

yeah that's right sadly I've only had it a year I need the room you see as garage is quite full and I've just deposited on a new Targa 4 GTS it was either put the Escort up or the GT3 RS doh! a no brainer really.....anyway I'm putting the RS2000 in for a full mechanical refresh this week and some paint correction just to make sure it's right on the money I'll more than likely swap out the points for the Accu Spark electronic ingnition just so it starts on the button everytime.....it drives exactly as I remember....just like a 41 year old car but it sure does bring a smile to everyones face who sees it....a good bit of fun the only problem I found was the massive temptation to 2.1 it (HPE rebuild)and uprate all the suspension rear disc conversion Ltd slip 5 speed gearbox Panhard rods and anti tramp brackets Etc.....but I resisted.....be interesting to see what the cars at Auction go for of course I'm open to offers

Ha! Your collection is very similar to mine. I was interested in the new Cayman GT4 but decided to go RS'D 964 instead.

I too was interested in the gt4. Briefly. I'm sure it'll be brilliant but I like a 911. As you can see!
