So i finally got my 9E prepared 964 C2 to Snetterton y'day and despite some concerns about its age on track i was very pleasently surprised.
The engine and all mechanicals didnt miss a beat plus the suspension set up they have nailed.
As some of you may recall i handed Ken and his men a basket case have been royally stitch up by a well known so called 'aircooled specialst' in north essex. The car has been properly rebuit from top to bottom and im talking just about everything! Its performance on track y'day was awesome from the handling to the brakes that never faded.
The car had no more than a hint of understeer out of corners when pressing on which frankly gave me more confidence when entering and exiting a corner and i think for a novice such as myself is perfect.
Yes the car has cost me a small fortune but its now been done brilliantly and im very glad its been done at 9E and not at the previous sharks HQ where it would have no odoubt costs more.
Gotta say 9E im very pleased ....Photos to follow

Great write up and your car is looking great on those wheels.
Ive got a 996 turbo with the 9e25 conversion on it along with all the suspension and brake upgrades a i love it on both road and track.
Maybe we should try to get a group 9e magazine feature soon as id love to see my car in a mag.

So at VMAX Stealth tomorrow. Had my car checked out by 9e today and all seems well. Had a passenger ride in their 9e XX with Ken. Have to be honest for a 1200-1500 bhp car or whatever she has i.e. 0-300kph in less than 15 secs she was amazingly civilised in the way she put her power down. Rapid but I felt completely safe. For a car with F22 Raptor size afterburners she wasn't all that laggy either - think X50 996 turbo - no worse than that really in terms of lag.
I reckon La F, P1 and 918 may all struggle to keep up with her tomorrow! Amazing platform for more power the 996 and 997 turbo.

Id be very interested to hear how things go. I reckon La F, P1 and 918 may all struggle to keep up with her tomorrow! Amazing platform for more power the 996 and 997 turbo.
My tweaked X50 996 ran 191 at Brunters before it was sent to 9E for a few bits & bobs, but havent yet managed to make another V Max since.

Quick update.
9e recently gained 15% in air flow to the turbos which netted a big uptake in power on a 996 turbo. They're now fabricating a new intake system for me. It will have cone filters over the intercoolers and 18 inches of less restrictive pipework to the hybrid GT2 turbos. This should help with airflow and spooling up the compressor etc. More airflow = more power hopefully. A completely bespoke thinking out of the box solution from 9e.
Get her back in a few weeks and hopefully test the new set up at Elvington third week of June if she's ready by then!

Is the 996 "solution" pretty much the same deal, do you know if it applicable to those of us not running hybrids on a 996 (I know, I can just call Ken, although, in any case my "plans" have been shelved just for the moment courtesy of a capricious employer )
Will be interesting to see how your 9e28 ? 26 ? 25.5 ? performs afterwards. Ken will need to start renaming things soon the way this is going

I'm zero technical. Will look at the VBOX after my next outing and report back. If I can get her running 25 sec 0-300kph will be a very happy bunny indeed Will be interesting to see how your 9e28 ? 26 ? 25.5 ? performs afterwards. She's consistently at 26 to 27 secs at the mo.

This new intake sounds interesting, I'm running a 996 Turbo 9e30 & it's pretty rapid as it is, but you can never have enough can you?
The other 9e 28 which belongs to Ozan ran 205mph at last VMAX within 1.3 miles. Need more power lol Hoping the Elvington event comes off be nice to see you up there. Is ken taking the 1200bhp beast along?

253 . . . think it is allegedly closer to 1500 than 1200, but I believe deploying it is "problematical" ( even in the higher gears) which then becomes , keeping it on the ground is problematical . . . . not the worst problem to have in life, but, I think "the limit" has definitely been reached/defined/breached for the 996 platform/aero .
