Private sale, I'd be edging me bets and going for 32K. If you think that's a lot, there's a nice non original 1968 Mini Cooper S I was looking at the other day up for 30K and they built thousands of them.
Ok what about a great history non leaking 964 C2 manual with 113K miles on the clock? 32k, you would struggle to get a Targa let alone a coupe with your 32K.
I'd hold on. The 993 is undervalued compared to other classics out there and is IMO the best aircooled post 73 911. The only people complaining they are going for too much dosh arn't looking at the wider classic market or saying that, the classic 911 market.
I was offered over the phone near 27K for mine and its pre vario manual with 129K miles.
So, at the risk of dragging out the values chat a bit longer, if my car is on 130k miles, good condition and shiny new factory comfort M033 springs and new FSD shocks (will be adding them shortly), and is a C2 Cabriolet, how much should I be insuring it for agreed value i.e. to buy another from someone like 911V where I got it originally? Serious question as I updated my GT3 value the other week but it never occurred to me to do the 993's value I think I've got it insured at £20k or something...Ok what about a great history non leaking 964 C2 manual with 113K miles on the clock? 32k, you would struggle to get a Targa let alone a coupe with your 32K.

I think the 993 convertible is the best looking of all convertible air cooled 911's - in particular polar silver with a blue hood looks the absolute business.
A friend of mine paid 20k for a 993 convertible well over a year ago so I can only assume that with recent
price increases your 20k insurance valuation is below what it should be.

Lol! Mine is polar silver with a blue hood, are you trying to flatter me?
I had no idea your car was that spec......I just think that colour combo looks classy and really suits the 993 shape-A neighbour of mine has a black 993 with a black hood- although still nice it's no match for silver/ blue

I understand this is a tedious question but if an expert knowledgeable person could give me a figure
I'd appreciate it:
I have a 993 C2 manual coupe. It is a 1996 varioram model. Polar silver/ marble grey interior. In great condition, full service history stamped for every year-(was under Hartech service plan for 5 years), loads of work done, new discs/pads/conti tyres recently, 113k on the clock.
What's a ball park figure for a private sale?
Around £30,000 privately.I'd appreciate it:

(£15,000 trade, if they are feeling generous)

993 Tip.
The best of all worlds. Drive it anywhere.
Agree, I was very happy to drive mine through London. Took many trips to Ace Cafe through rush hour. In a GT3, not chance would be a complete pain in the arse. Plus, catching a glimpse in glass shop windows was a joy in a 993, where as in a GT3, its a 996, and ugly The best of all worlds. Drive it anywhere.

Well, this is dandy. At this rate, I will be retiring to a life in Monaco on the arm of an 18 year old chick by the end of the year. Which is nice.
Hang on, do I actually have to sell my car though?
We need to big-up the 'eyewatering expense to maintain' thing. then the 18 year old lady will think we are loaded anyway, and we can keep our 993s.Hang on, do I actually have to sell my car though?
ps - may I have a 38 year old? I think they (insert single entendre here) better than the younger models.
This thread has changed my life-
I was all set and prepared for my mundane existence.... but bugger that-
I'm holding on to the 993 until the end of the year- Monaco and a busty blond await me -
I bloody hope prices don't crash.....if so I'll end up in Margate with a minger.

Are you suggesting that we all need a 993 Euro Hoon Extravaganza?
I was thinking it some time back. Wozy's spain trip sounded good. My 2014 trip to classic Le Mans was good, but I had the kids, so in 2015 I'm going to tick some different boxes. My best drive ever was from Malmedy to Nurburg, in the dusk-dark, with just two other 911s, and walkie-talkies.
Jackal - what do you suggest?
Jackals off cleaning something or somesuch.
He'll be back in to get some lotion for his fingerprintless fingers.
Id suggest somewhere down in Spain.
Via some big long straight roads.
Beerrs at the end of the day, and steaks.
Big ones.
With fries.
And more beer.
I could do that.
As long as there were beers.
And steaks.
