OC. Early June we have in mind. I had a feeling you were warming to the idea of a Spanish outing. Bring on the track day also. Sooner drive Jerez though smile

Kimbo needs to sort himself out and get that Targa down to the mountains. Faffing around Northern France for a couple of days? Nah.

Are prices still rising? I note this thread started in January. I am just checking in to confirm they are still going up.

993 prices do not appear to be plummeting just yet:

Cheers. I was getting a bit concerned that the rate of increase had tailed off. Evidently not. I will check back in a couple of months.

Fully agree. They aren't too expensive to run. The extreme OCD'ers bring it on themselves.

The comparison to an E36 3-series is preposterous imo.
+2

I've had mine for a couple of years now and apart from servicing, inc an a/c regas, and a set of tyres it's cost very little. In comparison my wifes last service on her SLK before we sold it cost nearly double what I paid for the 993 service.

I like to keep mine in tip top condition, so at some point I'll get some bits of paint done that I'm not fully happy with, but it still looks fantastic for a 20 year old car. And it's still on it's original suspension, which works fine, and holds the road amazingly, so I'm in no hurry to change it.

Im sure I could do some man maths and find reasons to spend several grand a year on it, but it just doesn't need it.

The E36 is just a mass produced eurobox, all be it a good one, so not comparable in any way. IMHO.
Just picked up on this topic, well the best car to own must be the founding fathers I.e. A TVR rarer than a porsche no silly increases in prices ,fairly cheap to maintain, great drivers car ,British , great sounding car, generally loved and admired by other drivers. Glad I kept my 500 supercharged griff , makes mincemeat of 2012 M3 with DCT. Now I have a porsche GT2 as a stable mate but it will be incomparable to my 20k griff in terms of performance presence for bucks.
Next stable mate will be 350GTR shelby God willing. So as always best drivers car to own i reference cost etc fun etc got to be PH founding fathers , buy a sorted Chimp and thrash it keep ya porches for show.

Looks like the C2's that were for sale at Cameron Sports Cars and Hexagon have been sold now. Think both were asking £45k and neither were wide bodied S models....

Doesn't your car have only three wheels? Isn't it a cut'n'shut?

Says "deposit taken" on the CSC website and the other one has disappeared from the Hexagon site - given how long some of their stock has been hanging around it seems likely that it's been sold I would have thought..
