Can anyone recommend a good shop that will do a PPI for me within London/North London? I am purchasing a C4S and the owner is willing to drop it off on his way to work, hence the requirement for it to be close to an underground station (or relatively) so he can get to work and come back and pick it up?

Any help would be appreciated for a PPI at a decent price.

Would have said Jaz as they were in Wembley, but have just moved to St.Albans.

The owner could drop it off there it's only 22 mins from St.Albans to King's Cross.

I think that might be a little far, its about an hour from St Albans to Kings Cross by public transit. Thanks for the suggestion though.

That could be an option, its still 1hr away by public transit to his workplace. Also nothing on their site really mentions anything to do with an in depth PPI.

There is Porscheinspections.com which seem to do a very thorough job but their range is £390-420 as they are mobile, where as an in-shop is even less than half of that.

edit: looks like http://www.porsche-car-inspection.co.uk/ are mobile for £280 and do quite a thorough check. Not sure if anyone has had any experience with them.

RGA close to Vauxhall station?

I've no personal experience, and they're not North London, but might be worth a try. smile

Thanks guys. Chris Turner's website mentions a PPI along with checking the ECU (hopefully for the revs), the RGA site doesnt mention anything about doing thorough inspections. Looks like it'll be one of these right now.

Anybody have any experience with either of these shops?

Bob at RGA is excellent, he has many fans on this and other Porsche forums. I'm sure he'll do a PPI for you. 5 mins walk from Vauxhall tube.

Thanks tallmat, I will give him a call first thing tomorrow. A glowing recommendation from people on this board is what I was hoping for.

Porchetech are in Finchley Road, I'm sure they'd do an inspection for you.

Pretty small outfit (well a one man band really) but Andy does know his stuff.

Gave Bob a call and he has some open availability, thanks! Also have a couple places as backup just incase the scheduling doesn't work out.

He also gave the option to do a check with a camera for bore scoring for extra £££, is this something I should worry about? Its an 03 C4S w/ around 65k miles.

Definitely yes Do consider changing the spark plugs at the same time if they've not been done for a while, as it's labour free.

Its just a PPI, I would want to make sure that the PPI outcome is in the clear before spending money on items like that. I guess I can ask him to make an executive decision if he thinks all is good then replace them.
