That's great thanks - just for clarity - are you saying 134 3.8 RS's in total - just clarifying as coincidently the 2011 number is 32 , which happens to also be the same number for the 4.0 - I think this is the case as your post is really clear , thanks very much smile
Yeah, 134 3.8s and an additional 32 4.0s.

Excerpt from Top Gear Review - do they all get a sport button as standard ?

Cheers smile

Excerpt below :

"Press the Sport button and a couple of baffles are opened in the exhaust which release an extra 26lb ft of torque, and the engine note gets a lot snarlier"
I believe the sport button is standard on all RS models. It might even be standard on the regular GT3.

I happen to have this video of my dad's on the day it was delivered. You can hear the effect of the sport button 6 or 7 seconds in as the valves open and the exhaust note changes.

The 7.2 RS is epic and I am not thinking of ever parting with. The shorter gearing makes it even more exciting than the stock 7.2 GT3 on regular roads
On public roads and with the power/torque these cars have, does it really make any difference?
Especially on public roads it makes a real difference as the engine can rev a bit more and you get that lovely noise with it

I saw the 997 GT3 RS at Silverstone Auctions and it looked stunning. The colour combination is the best I've seen!
Not sure why it sold for a relatively low price for such a sort after car?
Similar spec left hand drive cars 30k to 40k above this price.
Maybe this is the start of prices starting to come down as obviously the appetite to buy seems to have dimininished or could the buyer just of been lucky on the day?

I looked at this car before it went to auction and the condition was very good....one of the better GT3s I have seen. I think the buyer was lucky as there didn't seem to be many bidders. Should make a good investment if the market remains bullish. Maybe they were all waiting for the Testarossa that sold for over 200k!

Lots of talk of how difficult it is to get a GT4 - just wait & try and buy a 991 GT3 RS - it will be all but impossible . In theory , I'm in with a shout , but in reality , I very much doubt it ! As such , I'm thinking 997 G2 RS instead - would love to know from current owners what they think of their cars , any owners bored of their cars , things to look out for when buying - any thoughts in general really ....... Cheers smile
My Borther in Law has a gen 2 RS, 2010, 10,000 miles in white, red wheels etc. He is planning to put it on the market in the next week or two.
