It's not the owner of the Singer starting the thread in this case.....

In the very unlikely event of being able to order a Singer, or even getting a restoration done here in the UK, I don't think I'd put a thread about it on here with pictures.

Each to his own, etc, but having all of the work and your choices second guessed and criticised might take some of the shine off what should be a pleasure.
Who cares what the peanut gallery think? You'd have a singer which is just wow wow wow smile

I know a guy in Cheltenham who has just took delivery of the Singer linked by the OP-
So unless there are 2 Singers in Cheltenham.......
Magic. I live just around the corner so I hope to see it often. The most special car I've seen around here for a long time and would get a spot in my perfect three car garage every time.

Ah, you thought I meant the thread was tapered ? I meant the the countersink was tapered as opposed to parallel.

smile
Ahh that explains it. What is a parallel countersink? Countersunk screws and bolts are tapered by definition surely?

And back on topic. I thought Singers were made as a "standard" spec plus options plus some bespoke. If that is right what is the rough "proportion" of standard to options to bespoke.

Bert
Countersink is for a tapered head screw, counter bored is for a parallel head screw, cap screw etc.

Wow not a big fan of the classic Porsche look generally but looks lovely.

Great choice / nice colour too - enjoy!

Yes, the pics from the Singer website make it look exquisite - a very beautiful looking car, both inside and out.

Hope you are enjoying it beer

If it is the same one as went up the hill at Goodwood it is truly a lovely thing. The detail is wonderful and the sound is excellent.
Quick video of it following a few fairly routine hacks at Goodwood F of S.

Love it. The Singer in that vid just makes the styling of all the other cars before it look unbelievably try hard, ridiculous and tacky. Fantastic.
