Maybe slower - but looks like fun to me - sorry if it's a repost - ignore the bits with the American car and concentrate on the German one smile

The 180k for this car is bang on imv, taking into account its VAT Q.....
And yet it still seems to be available and there are at least three other similar cars for £20k less?,
Strange that.

Don't worry, I have been with the owner all day , he has very close offer it will be gone soon, VAT Q, different customer to a normal UK sale, takes a bit of time

Top555 testing the water with £179,995

Be interesting to observe the prices after this one - not that we will ever know the outcome

Makes my "man maths" even more tricky as I now have £60,000 free money to buy something else

Just fancy a 2007-08 facelift XJR - no idea why!! And as its free why not I ask myself

How come nobody ever seems to come on here to say "Hi all, check out my new GT3 pride and joy that I just paid £150/£170/£180k for". You would have thought there would be at least one or two with these cars flying off the shelves at ever increasing prices. (Not sure if mermaid was serious above).
No smile At £130k, maybe and even then not sure .

Indeed, I reference my original post - I have no idea who is paying these prices for these cars. If its just footballers then I cant see prices being sustainable the next next wave of hot toys come out.

I agree, though I think it will be a LONG time till they are below list price!

As a side note, what car(s)? do you drive Mermaid?

What is odd is the huge gulf twixt LHD and RHD prices.
Just been offered a brand new car in simple spec for £108,000 delivered to UK.
Tempting smile

Why did you sell the GT3.... if you don't mind me asking?

Just curious as I have one at the moment and it would take a crowbar to prise the keys from my hands biggrin

Money talks, generous offer and switching the toy to a GT4 (missed out) or try something LHD, even non Porsche. smile

I can answer as I sold mine in October 13. I wanted a more "usable" car, without the constraints of the low front, lack of PCM/Bluetooth etc and I was always conscious of putting miles on it (ridiculous I know).

I also thought that at just over the £50k mark, it was a decent time to jump ship, even though I thought a £40k bottom was the limit?

You can imagine, I am well peeved to see them trading at or even above the £69k I paid for it in 2010, as well as the fact that it was a fantastic car to batter about in on a summers day (oh that engine), albeit I would end up driving like a tt and need a lie down after!

Mine would still have under 20k miles on it, had I kept it, so apart from the £10k refresh required wink, it would have been free motoring?

My advice is don't get rid, unless this bubble pops and they start to trend back down (maybe not even then?) as cars like that will never be made again.

I wouldn;t be surprised if it was just traders buying up everything available and then trading them between themselves at ever increasing prices, trying to manipulate the market for a quick profit.

It seems plenty of 991 RS's on the RHD market, that should help to moderate the market.
