This is proving to be quite an amusing thread.....especially the cloud cuckoo comments from certain hopefuls trying to convince themselves despite the election result Armaggedon has arrived along with the financial meltdown and these cars will trade at list........scratchchinhehe As if.

Even the prospect of trading as low as at what the list price should have been I.e £125k is near impossible, especially taking into account a gen 2 is unlikely and IF there is one, this will be a considerable time away. Meanwhile a 59 plate 09 GT3 is up at £119k at an OPC.

Yes, there are a fair number of 991s for sale as expected, including the black £185k one, although several appear to have recently sold.

Don't forget good spec OPC 991 GTS retail at a mind boggling £100k.......whilst a decent package, this car is light years away from the GT3 on ability.

With some recent easing of the price, now could even be a good time to buy for those 'hopefuls' as usual doing all the talking and sitting on the sidelines..........driving

LOL .... that's the funniest comment of this whole thread "now could even be a good time to buy for those 'hopefuls'".

Okay, its pretty clear you are an owner and talking up the market. Fair enough, you want to protect the residuals. But your argument is pretty p*** poor mate.

No car has sold anywhere near £185k. Most I have heard is £169k. If anyone who has recently purchased one here above that, then please share the details.

Just because an OPC has put an 09 GT3 at a stupid price is irrelevant to 991 GT3 prices. Go find a trade bid for your car and then come back and report !

Everyone was saying the 911 Virgin car should sell quickly as it is well priced. Well, its still there !

If you were a potential buyer, the question I have is why would you buy at these ridiculous overs when clearly prices are moving down ?
I may be an owner but I have no interest in talking the price 'up'.......mines a keeper.....the capabilities of this car never cease to amaze not just me but most who actually own and use the car as opposed to the tyre kicking dreamers......biggrin:

Seems a number of dreamers have more of a vacuous interest in attempting to talk the price 'down'....good luck with that.......laughable really as if a group of randomers on the internet could influence the mighty market.....hehe

Oh yes.....that reminds me......and what happened to the recently advertised Bournemouth OPC and Scottish OPC cars.......former up at £180k, latter was it £169k?

They have sold.
Yeah, of course you have no reason talking up prices as that's why you are posting on here - give it a rest, you are sounding like a clown.

Oh and of course you can verify those sales were legitimate and they sold at those levels?

The more relevant question is why are you so keen to talk prices down?

And of course you can confirm otherwise?

What people need to remember is that private cars don't seem to be selling at all, they are being bought up by dealers. And OPCs are not willing to pay leas than £140k from what I've heard, so people are only getting £20kish over list. It is the numpties who are paying £160k who are wasting their cash.

Numpties or not, these punters are clearly the market and know the cars are worth £160k all day long.

As for the owners deciding to bail and take just £30k premium, its a tough life out there.......hehe

I think all the numpties now have cars... which leaves all these over valued cars now for sale and no buyers :-)

I know for a fact that people have paid over £160k for decent spec club sport cars with ceramics, front lift, leather etc but that was the end of March when there were very few cars available and they were selling in days.

Yes, I know two very high spec, low mileage cars for sure have been sold above £160k at JZM back in March prior to the RS announcement (see their website). But I don't know of any car sold anywhere above £170k.

It would appear the GT3 dreamers and trolls have conveniently forgotton the yellow (ex Andy Brew?) Midlands OPC car, pts blue (maritime?) Bournemouth car and dark blue metallic Scottish car, all of which sold relatively quickly at asking prices between £169k and £180k which would suggest deals done around these figures.

Cue someone convincing themselves these cars sold at £150k.....hehe

Maybe.

Or maybe they have moved down to a GT4 under the delusion it will be a better car....biggrin:

What are you saying, the arse is about to fall out of the 991 GT3 market? Wishful thinking I reckon, if they do come back down to list I'll be having a look but I'm not expecting that to happen anytime soon.

Saw a black one driving through Cannock yesterday, anyone on here? Looked amazing.
Hi
Yes that was me.....

As for prices, no doubt a few have RSs on the way that also have a GT3, would expect a few more to come to the market soon...

I See a lot has been said about a 991GT3 Gen 2, from what I know it will not happen, the RS runs until next spring, don't see any room for a car between the one now and the RS.......
Sorry I missed this post before. Car looked great, brightened up my visit to B&Q so nice one for using it smile

Following on from what I said before about Solihull, I popped in there quickly today to have a nose at the black GT3. They have a white Club Sport with a sold sign next to it and the black car that's online plus another white one with sports seats, which I guess might be sold seeing as it's not on the used car locator??

Maybe my perception of 'value' has been skewed by the recent price increases on Porsches but I think they look like 150k cars, I'm glad there wasn't a salesman around as my cars might have been chopped in against one!

Gt3 owners here's a thought- if you are lucky enough to own one go drive the fuc#in thing! No point selling as prices still haven't settled. Weathers ok Sunday so press 'log out' and go use them. :-)
