I didn't .
Just you then. But it does appear we are in a minority .
Every Porsche has punched above its weight against British/French/Italian competition - this one punches even higher.
But it is horses for courses. I would much rather buy a GT4 for circa £75k.

Hi R.
My RHD car was in your, our, OPC last week, someone came in offered 175k for my car, like you I refused...
Ouch... 175k cash there and then could really make me hesitate.. my inner chav is still contemplating a Red Striped Speciale (LHD but for a weekend/conti Europe car who cares) My RHD car was in your, our, OPC last week, someone came in offered 175k for my car, like you I refused...

wow congrats to all you lucky 991 GT3! Driving a brill car and it also doubling in value! I see quite a few being used in town
Took my mate out for a quick blast in mine this morning - low single figure temperatures, so had to be careful - to say he was impressed is a massive understatement. In terms of current pricing, £175k equates to a rental flat providing income and a long-term appreciating asset, rather than the GT3 which is great fun to drive but long-term has to lose money eventually...
I'm guess financially I'm stuck in the middle - not rich enough that I can afford to hold onto the GT3 regardless of what I'm being offered, but rich enough that I don't need to sell to lock in an immediate profit!
However, at some price point my head has to overrule my heart and do the sensible thing...

Hi S , that's the big question - where is that point - PM me if you like - not looking to buy , just interested In terms of current pricing, £175k equates to a rental flat providing income and a long-term appreciating asset, rather than the GT3 which is great fun to drive but long-term has to lose money eventually...

Spz is a great car, and imv time will be kind to this car...going to replace my LHD 650 with same in a Spz, very soon.......We now only a year on, from all the doom and gloom, when a year old? used low spec 991GT3 commands the same price as new unused right spec 991GT3RS......lol
991GT3 has a long way to go yet from a price point imv.....

How come everyone one here that's quoting ever higher prices seems to be neither buying nor selling? That white car at £180k is dreaming. There are a few others out there that are much more realistically priced. If someone walked up to me in an OPC and offered £175k, I'd be sorely tempted.
I agree that the "list price" issue is history now and these cars will buy and sell well above list for now, but £180k?
I could put mine on PH for £200k and then refuse to sell it. We could start a thread with a new title.

The 180k for this car is bang on imv, taking into account its VAT Q.....I agree that the "list price" issue is history now and these cars will buy and sell well above list for now, but £180k?

Maybe read the post from the start. A few people saying the 7rs is more engaging. I assume all the others that are eulogising about the 991 have driven/owned a 7 to compare to. I also think the Speciale is not as good as the Scud and a GTR is boring. So maybe it says something about me and newer cars.
I remember when the GTR was slated by people on the Porsche forum for being too tech. I don't subscribe to newest and shiniest is best. Something is being lost along the way.

This. You also really have to driven both either a lot over a long period of time or at least back to back to make any kind of sensible comparison. I'm not suggesting that one is "better" than the other in any way as they are very different, but the 997 definitely (IMHO) draws you in more to the whole experience when you drive it. it's not as quick, not as planted on the road, the ride is harsher and you just have to put more in to get something out. I guess thats what it's all about for some and not for others. Also the 997 is done as a series and there's no better one coming out any time soon. Not true of the 991.Happy motoring to those that have one of either or both. It's a good place to be.
Baffling prices when compared to what's available on www.mobile.de
19 cars available over there, clubsport cars with lift and delivery miles starting at £100k
Must be some sort of UK bubble going on here?
