Where have all the 993 C2's gone

I didn't expect that I would keep mine for so long...I expected 2-3 years before I traded it for a GT3 or the like but here I am over 8 years later with the same 993 C2.
I haven't sold it because I doubt if I'll ever find another car that, to me, has such perfect balance of handling, speed, noise, refinement, comfort, size, looks and running costs.
As another poster mentioned, if I knew I could sell it and the replace it with another then I might have been more willing to try something else, but that has looked increasingly unlikely in recent years.
Trying to find another example that hits what I consider to be the 993 sweet spot of C2 varioram with air con and close ratio 6-speed box would be very hard indeed and whilst I enjoy 'the hunt' I don't want to spend months looking and then have to make compromises when I already have what I want.

Still seems cheap compared to other 'classics'.
My '96 NB C2 manual AC sports seats has 101k miles, it would take £35k to prize it off me. Granted I've done loads to it and it has inches worth of paperwork. And that's the rub, after nearly seven years I've replaced and improved so many things you simply couldn't replace it. Even taking into consideration the increase in value I doubt it covers what I've spent on it, in fact I daren't add it all, you'd hear the cries from here!robin993 said:

I have an ocean blue 83k miles 993 c2s manual where litteraly everything has been sorted: new clutch, brakes, suspension, varioram, exhaust, windscreen, bumper brackets, windscreen, windscreen surrounds treated, every single minor leaks, airco working (!). Cosmetically i have returned the sport seats to a correct factory matt finish. Wheels and paint have been detailed and flawless. I would not part with it for less than £60k but just like you i wonder if it cover all the things i have had done. The last jzm bill was £7k last month!

yes, it had been advertised for a while as a 911, and not a 993, had just been serviced at Paragon and I know Mark so called him, they had checked the car over and gave it a clean bill of health., its now been lowered with new wheels, spoiler and drives lovely, porbably as it has bilstien suspension, came with a very comprehensive history and bought it as something to use a bit more as have a few others that spend to much time hiding in garages. (I had a C2S quite a few years ago, lovely car but I think the NB drives better),

lol - was wondering what you were going to say. I bought it unseen and flew down to pick it up with the proviso that it was a clean car. Mark had said it was nice so I was expecting it to be good. but I've always liked them in solid colours, such as white.Glad it's a good one - enjoy.
It had been loved and cherished, even had its cover on. Car was pretty much spotless, had one little ding in the rear wing that needs dentmaster to sort, engine bay, and underneath very clean, wheels werent to my liking but that was it,
had it checked out back home again and nothing needing doing, everything works and really like it in white.
