Anyway this ugly business you refer to: Are you telling me that if you were in my shoes and you were offered an RS that you would just simply tell the OPC to just pass the offer to the next in line? Come on fellow, I would have to be a complete retard to walk away and if you pretend that you would act differently you are only fooling yourself.
As it currently stands and as far as I am aware; there is not a single person that knows if they actually have a guaranteed slot, I certainly don't. I can only go by what my OPC have told me. They have requested that I sign 2 documents: a reservation order and a legally binding buyers contract.
Your attempts to tarnish me with the selected quotes are not in anyway justified. I have absolutely nothing to hide and have been completely open and transparent about asking what to do in this situation and in-fact quite the opposite, I may be in the process of helping out a fellow PH getting the chance to own their dream car.
I also have a slot, and have been told that order can be specced immediately after launch
I am currently genuinely unsure if I'm going to take it. If it was a manual, I would. To be honest, if I 100% knew it would go up/hold value, I would.
However, I'm probably only going to buy it if I'm sure that it's a car I'd want and would use if the market tanked. Any other car I've bought was on that basis. So, going to Geneva to have a look, and see what they say about it.

Maybe I am misreading something here but it doesn't come across too well.
No need to apologise fellow, the edit is obviously a more considered post I just imagined a current Evo owner thinking about making the switch over to the world of Porsche; Imagine if he had read that, it would have probably put him off ever buying one. We all start somewhere, and not forgetting our roots is a good leveller to remember regardless of where we are today!

One of my best motoring experiences ever was waking up on the morning of a pre-booked track day and opening the curtains to find it absolutely pissing down. I used to run discarded touring car wets at £80 a set and wow wow wow.
You could drive as though it was a summer's afternoon.
I remember being at Doni and just driving past 5 cars on the left through Craners with no issue at all. It was easy and yet still super good fun

Having pretty much skim read this thread (apologies if I am wrong) I came to the collusion you were referring to a slot for a LHD car ??Where as RHD 991 GT3s are currently commanding £50k+ on top of list (in the UK), LHD 991 GT3s can be had (from Europe) pretty much at list (if not below).
Therefore where as all logic would suggest a RHD 991 GT3RS slot could fetch £100k (above list), there is just as much chance of a LHD slot being worth £10k as £50k ....
The two markets (late RHD Porsche specials versus LHD) seem to have completely diverged (with the exception of 4.0 RS).
To try and add a little balance and redeem the thread a little here are some pics that my OPC sent to me today (not sure if they are already surfing the net but nonetheless the first time I have seen them. Enjoy

Here is a picture from the day at the Ring; you probably notice the perfect light conditions in bright sunshine, hence the requirement for headlights being nil; regardless the Ringmaster of the day decided to issue me with a little souvenir for a technical infringement as per the second picture
