I'd say death would be a better alternative to life without my GT2 & my GT3!

New Mustang looks good, especially now they are available here in RHD, but sadly not the Shelby which, IMO is a bit stupid.

Drove a 2005 V8, great fun, reminded me of my old 2.8 Capri in 1984, kinda sums it up really, Fun, but basic. Don’t forget to change your name to Billy Bob, and marry your sister wink

Nope. The size aside (which is a fairly UK-specific qualm, since roads here are much wider), all that flat-plane shizzle, the independent rear axle etc. are (to me) a sign that Ford is finally taking performance cars seriously again. Short of Richard Parry-Jones (better known as the Messiah) returning to design suspension components, this is the greatest thing that could happen. No one is likely to buy this to replace a GT4, but as a complement...

A whole new engine for a slightly more hardcore version of the GT350? Take. My. Money.

That is what it is, and if it strokes your sausage then fill your boots.

What its got to do with a GT3 or GT2 is where I am struggling.

Can't afford a gt3 you've put your opinion out there end of story
Probably a lot of people out there who cannot afford a gt2 or 3 or 4 . I own a gt2 so I am looking to alternatives to a gt3
Who knows time will tell if the ford have got this right and if it can hold a candle to gt3
I haven't looked at the overall size probably similar to 2012 shelby which I previously owned .

Noted you have both and agree you've no need to look further unfortunately gt3 now out of my price range unless the bubble bursts.
I hope the bubble does burst and the wheeler dealers get there fingers burnt. Prices have gone crazy and that debate has been thoroughly thrashed out so no need to go there.

Assume you're referring to 991 GT3's? 997 Gen 1's are well within the scope of what your GT2 is worth. GT2 is more you're sort of car though if you're after big bhp?

Hi Mark no looking at what you have but right hand i.e 997 Gen 1&2 .To be honest i,m interested in the shelby as an alternative. Ford will do a lap of the ring and lets not dismiss it outta hand as a serious contender.
Availability and price will be better than 991GT3, ownership feedback will be interesting.I,m going to contact Houston Ford dealers to see about ordering etc.
Presently Oil Companies are in retraction. Job future is not that secure so everyone in our industry is hoping the crude price is soon back up to 90$ a barrel. OPEC tactics at the moment are only short term beneficial to car owners.
