I've not seen much about this on the forum and Apollo1 doesn't even know much about it, if they make it and it is a baby 918 and looks like the concept car it would be awesome.

Mind you if the GT4 allocation is anything to go by, unless you were letting the dealer principle finger your wife and buying a new macan and turbo every year you'd never get one anyway.

Mid engined porsche coming before end of the decade . Will be road and motorsports car . Bean counters and regs killed the naturally aspirated not hybrid 918 engine in a carbon chassis original plan .
Now the car will have the next gen r8 and hurracan chassis ( new mid engined chassis for vw group to be Porsche designed ) and a twin ( not four ) turbo engine . Car will NOT come in manual and will be around 625 hp ( up to "what we need compared to the competition ") and 4wd . Very small chance chassis will be carbon .

New 928 based on next gen Panamera coming too . That will be awesome .

Brilliant, with the rumours that there will not be a 991 gen 2 GT3 , will there be a 992 GT3 or will the GT3 as a car be replaced with this mid engined car?

It's always funny how these things start as a carbon tube with quad-turbo flat 8 and ends up in what I'm sure some cynical PH'ers will call a VW AG supercar parts bin special with a Porsche badge. I'm more interested in the 'new 928' I must admit. Much greater chance of owning that one in the future sometime.

Not Fair to call it a parts bin special . It's a Porsche chassis , porsche engine and pdk system . Modified 918 infotainment a system etc etc

New 928 is what I'm looking forward to also
