I have a Cayman S Design Edition 1 (777 were made) sporting the number plate P 777 CAY. It goes nicely with my and 776 other cars of that marque and model.

How much did it end up going for ? I only ask as it's up for sale for £19,995 now.

For a few k more you could have 1MHH though.

Just seen it went for £4100.

Who would but it apart from someone with the initials MHH, who owns a 918, of which there can't be many.

Unless someone speculatively bought it hoping to sell it to someone with those initials who owned a 918 ??? Per chance your broker ???

I'd just returned to Australia and was too tired to stay up to 2am for the auction so I instructed the broker to bid to £4000 (he said £2K should win it). Some smartarse obviously tried to spoil my party. I hope he dies with it! More seriously, I'd buy it for something sensible but it's not exactly a tradable combination so I'm nowhere near the asking figure. Thanks for alerting me to the plate being for sale. I was wondering what happened to it.

Thanks. EVO 918? I'm not mad on that one but I might bid on 918 RS in the next auction. That'll make a pretty penny. redface

If folks are interested in the B19 TOY plate the possible new price of c.20k for WEE 70Y sets the level for offers.

This is where I get confused with 'cherished plates'.

Some of the above I like, some look fun, some are naff (IMO).

'TOY' in a reg I can understand, but surely B19 has no relevance? And 7OY is meant to mean 'TOY'
