If I ever sell my much loved B7 RS4 I'll put this number on to my recently acquired GT3 RS.
It also refers to my name and initialssmile
Took me 7 years of chasing the DVLA to release it.

I got a perfect for me 911 reg from a fellow PHer recently. Much obliged and very happy with how that all worked out.

R5 POR

(may sell it soon, doubt I'll ever afford an RS)
Hi Dan - is this on a Cayman R?
Hi, it's on my mates 'R' (grey one), when I didn't have a Porsche I loaned it to him.

I could put it on my 'R', but always had it on my GT3.

I think I have seen him before, he had an orange Cayman before the grey one.

To the OP, if the plate is personal to you, rather than the car, why don't you put it on retention and then use it on your next car?

In case you didn't know, since 27th March there is no fee for retentions anyone, nor for changing Nominees, and new certificates are valid for 10 years. To retain a plate you do have to prepay the transfer fee of £80, but that's the same as it always was.

Retention can be done online now too, but oddly has to be done during office hours. You will get online confirmation of the replacement plate instantly and a replacement V5C by post. A replacement MOT certificate is no longer issued.
