Used to see a Honda around our way with the number

P911XPT

Thought it would look alright on my 997 but never got around to leaving a note on his car.

My plate on the old turbo I had a few years ago.

Feel a bit old for it now as I am definitely not what it says!

No it suited the car, limited market for plates like that.
Took me ages to sell it on TBH, last time I saw it for sale it was up for some ridiculous fig of £1000 I think. Madness. I sold for £400.

yes, that video is about right. Things got very weird with him, I used to meet him and he'd turn up in a brand new car each time, without selling the others. He came on my stag weekend in the GT3 RS and slept in it because it was more comfortable than the hostel we were in. My brother's car had been in Newquay Kwikfit all the stag weekend having a new exhaust, and we turned up there on the last day of the stag in the 997GT3RS to pay the dudes. The whole garage came out to chat and nearly forgot to take payment for the job.
Another time I went to see the Carrera GT, and he picked me up in his Gallardo (new) and used that for the taxi ride to the lock up where the Porsche was.
Another time I'm sat in the Tattinger enclosure at Le Mans discussing with him and Paul Bailey what colour Veyron to get, or whether to sell their places in the queue and put the deposit money together and buy a 2008 Ferrari F1 car.

In that video is the Merc 560 SEL that his dad used to pick us up from school in in the 1980's. Never sold it, never traded it in, just kept it on a trickle charger...

I also sat with him in Pizza Express in Cambridge in about 1995 and he spent the whole meal explaining to me how he was planning to build cars for production. As you do.. Yes it didn't work out, but he sold the project to Ginetta for profit!! Everyone else makes a loss on sports cars.
