I thought the oracle on all things GT3 said that there were categorically no Gen 2s?

A wind-up? or do you have a link to verify this. Thanks.

A manual option at this amount of "CGT" type power seems out of quilter with all that is going on, in my humble opinion. I suppose RWS will be abandoned if manual.

It may be a coincidence but my OPC has been in touch today about LOI and whether I am still up for a car - perhaps they are winding me up too. Hope not...

Some of you prob know me and Apolo have had many scraps on this in the past!!! However, although I am still yet to be convinced there will not be a gen 2 GT3, NA car, I would like to be the first on here to put my hands up when I am wrong.
I was at Spa last weekend with a lot of chaps who know Apolo very well and they say he is very well informed and knows a lot of guys at Porsche.
I was told a couple of bits and pieces and among them was that the NA engine is likely to be left for the RS only.

Separately the 918 at Spa....what an absolutely brilliant car up close and the owner was such a nice chap too.

Yes Yellow like my Porsches with a turbo myself as you know so the GT2RS in 2018 .........just all in the Autocar today .
Simply Porshce believe it or not is a business and they are merely listening so hopefully toys for all .....
If Apollo is on the Board then he can make the decisions ...
But the news is good news for all not just investors
We should all be looking forward to many new exciting Porsches not having to Buy Ferraris......

Would these be the same guys at Porsche that said there would categorically and without any shadow of a doubt only be 132 991 GT3s for the UK? He was very well misinformed on that one.

I know DT... Not saying he is right all the time but there were a lot of chaps about at Spa who know him well and they all said the same...
I was at Zuffenhausen the day before Spa, and I saw 2 991 GT3's just come off he production line there and then so they are still being made!!!!

Yes, sorry berty, not having a go, just making the point that we don't really know anything until it happens! anyway, the Autocar piece looks pretty speculative to me. AP has said a few things in general and Autocar have filled in the blanks or that's how it reads to me. So in short we still don't know but I wouldn't be paying £180k for a 991.1 GT3 or bonkers money over list for an RS right now!
