I don't get all the hype about the 991 GT3 it's just a meh and noisy road car that can be passed by a properly tuned Lotus Exige on track..
I bought into the hype and the next day I returned it for a 991 Turbo S. It is a proper Porsche with grip and midrange torque to cruise through the canyons..

For the price of a new GT3 you can have a low mileage 991 Turbo S...
Just in case the trolls have mucked up the conversation to the point of no return I'll quote myself....

As for all the engineering babble you will always find the answer you are looking for to justify your position in order feel better about a poor choice in Porsches as a daily driver..
biggrin

Mid range torque is the key for corner exit in the real world or on track but if you feel better driving around in a car with a big ass wing that does nothing at normal everyday speeds, cool. But I prefer a car with active aero that only comes out to play when it's needed...

In my opinion I made the best choice....

Proof, if proof were needed that you:
A) don't understand physics
B) don't understand the nature of the GT3 engine and using the gears!

Regardless, if you want to stick in a high gear and cruise, using the torque available, then the Turbo is the right car for you!

That's why your RS211 is so understated and lacking in fixed aero appendages. Wallflower Frank? biggrin

Having seen your posts here and there over the years, I had the impression that you wouldn't ever touch a Porsche. Thought you might find it a bit heavy in the tight and twisty canyon stuff? Anyway, enjoy it!

I designed the RS211 for only one purpose and that is handling in the canyons and that it does better than any other car I've owned over the years...

See that's how the internet twists things up... I've been a Porsche fan since 1967 after my first ride in a 912 and have owned eight cars over the years...
Well haters gotta hate... hate on this .. 1983

But my rotary Super 7 would kill it in the canyons...just sayin

Quoting yourself now. We are so blessed with hearing you twice, in stereo. Praise the lordy.

You are like the drunk in the room who loudly claims they are right and won't leave it be, whilst the rest just hope you would go away. We've given enough clues, in our classy understated English way, we don't want to hear a Yank braggard talking BS.

Just go down to Hooters, there's a good chap.

PS before you go I still want to know why you move your hands about on the steering wheel so much in this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHFwLczVrGw

especially on they way down.

I know quarter to three and ten to two but I never thought I would see 37 minutes past 10.

Compare to

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AuhjpQPs1M

check the lack of hand movement. wink Spend some money on driving lessons rather than fast cars, you will feel better about it.

No it was not unanimous. I have no idea whats happened on the Lotus forum but his comments here were valid IMO and his own opinions. You chose to belittle them which is your prerogative. I have no connection with Ronin apart from I love his Lotus to bits.

It's perfectly reasonable to use the expression "almost unanimous" and in this context 'pretty unanimous' means exactly the same.

You're wrong!

And it is probably not advisable (incorrectly) trying to correct someone's grammar if you struggle with punctuation yourself...
