My worlds black and white unlike yours.....
You're wrong! And it is probably not advisable (incorrectly) trying to correct someone's grammar if you struggle with punctuation yourself...

And I'm wrong only in your mind chum. You were rude and adversarial IMO. At least thats how you came across on the thread. Whether you meant to or not is another matter...
You seem to enjoy having the last word and think this is some sort of intellectual fencing. Its not. Your posts after my mauling were quite contrite and trying come across as goody two shoes. You need continual confirmation that your GT3 is the best thing since slice bread. I love them but they're not perfect by any means and a turbo S knocks the spot of them in certain (most) situations IMO.

? I'm not trying to correct your grammar. Unanimous only has one meaning. There is no "slightly" or "pretty" IMO.
The key is 'IMO' and in this case you are wrong, as you would see if you did a basic 'google' search.IMIA said:

You tried to be a pedant and were wrong, plus you are repeating your error with numerous spelling and grammatical errors. Priceless! You seem to enjoy having the last word and think this is some sort of intellectual fencing. Its not. your posts after my mauling were quite contrite and trying come across as good two shoes.
And now you have the audacity to criticise me for trying to be clever!

I hate to get involved in this - but isn't it "goody two shoes" And I'm wrong only in your mind chum. You were rude and adversarial IMO. At least thats how you came across on the thread. Whether you meant to or not is another matter...

I'm just saying
Joking apart - I just think we all need to take a chill pill - FWIW , I think the only thing worthy of debate here has gone un noticed and that to me is Ronnin's tash - that is one amazing piece of face fluff - now let's all be friends
Edit - damm it : you spotted this and amended it - I feel really silly now !

Honestly guys I'm relaxed and not as clever as Sidicks. He has a way that continually trys to belittle people. Who cares about grammar? this is the internet and its all about cars on this forum as far as I'm aware. I love Ronin's tash in a heterosexual way lol! Reminds me of empire lol. I'd also love to see the two of them on track together. I know who'd be driving Miss Daisy and picking pink stitching for their seats...

Who cares about grammar?
Says the person who tried to make a pathetic point-scoring post about the term 'pretty unanimous' and failed totally!Who cares about grammar?

Ah, back to the personal attacks, when the 'intellectual' ones fail...Oh the irony

My mum really cares about grammar - you'll get into serious trouble if you don't get it right ! Re the tash - it is amazing - looks super itchy and walrus like - I can't comment on the race off , but I bet Sidicks facial hair isn't as good - S - have you got a tash like that ?
P.S - you see what I'm doing here - throwing in humour to defuse this situation , tieing everyone in together via facial hair - bloody genius - I should go and work for the UN - maybe a post in Moscow - help them all chilax a bit - I think I've found my new vocation

Facial hair or no facial hair, there's no way you're going to 'bed' me, no matter how much you flirt...sidicks said:

st you're quick I just spotted that and edited it - told you grammar was important - one letter and I'm in trouble ! Now listen to me my friend - you have been an avid poster for some time now and what I say to you , I say in good faith and with the best intentions - honestly.
You need to learn not to bite and just relax a little - it's a forum , nothing more - and if you don't feed the monster by replying then you'll save yourself a lot of agro - don't take it so seriously (not calling Walrus face and IMIA monsters btw - I'm referring to nasty posts in the general metaphorical sense )
Either way - lets just get back to the cars and the facial hair everyone

How is that an attack?
'driving miss daisy' - is that a compliment?IMIA said:
On many threads I've seen you participate on you seem to be more interested in the colour of GT3 owners deviated stitching than you are in the way a car goes.
You are mistaken, once again. Before I ordered my car, there was some debate about whether the car could come with deviated stitching in yellow. That's it. From then on, there was a running joke about deviated stitching.
This often gets highlighted by some of the same people that seem to be obsessed with PTS. Make of that inconsistency what you will!

A GT3 gives peak power above 7k rpm. Thats useless on the road IMO but great on track.
That's what the gearbox is for, but yes, more low down torque is beneficial for every day driving.Edited by sidicks on Tuesday 31st March 21:50

Perhaps you could advise the other protagonist not to keep trying to incite a response! And once again, I'm perfectly relaxed.

Sidicks its certainly not an attack and you do not have to justify your choice of spec to me I'm simply making an observation about how you come across on the forum -
The ironic thing is that I didn't choose deviated stitching in the end!IMIA said:

You simply cannot be in the right gear all the time especially on road not even Walter Rohrl. I'm not going to debate track use but even here on the same rubber 90% of drivers would be much quicker in a tts.
100% agree!IMIA said:
I've seen the Meaden vids of the GT£ against 650 S and Speciale. Its amazing. But on road (and many tracks where power is important) a 991 Turbo S would hand it its arse trust me.
80% agree! Power to weight is broadly the same for both cars. However, as you say above, the power is much more accessible in the TTS so in 'real world' driving (particularly in the wet) the TTS is materially faster.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
