Sidicks its certainly not an attack and you do not have to justify your choice of spec to me I'm simply making an observation about how you come across on the forum - I may be completely mistaken and apologies if I've called it wrong. You simply cannot be in the right gear all the time especially on road not even Walter Rohrl. I'm not going to debate track use but even here on the same rubber 90% of drivers would be much quicker in a tts. I've seen the Meaden vids of the GT£ against 650 S and Speciale. Its amazing. But on road (and many tracks where power is important) a 991 Turbo S would hand it its arse trust me.
You cant be in the right gear all of the time? Really?I weep for the future....

Not that I want to defend IMIA (), but I guess on the road there are many factors which are beyond your control and excellent anticipation can only get you so far. In such scenarios, using the torque of a turbo-charged engine might be necessary / useful rather than the (brief) delay of changing gear.I think it's a reasonable point.

In other news, my 9year old son and I went to the Southest meet tonight at the Grasshopper, looked at lots of nice cars, chatted to people, met Rallyeman and Stuttgart metal, my son sat in a Mclaren and no one had a row with anyone.
You heard that right, no rows about whose car was best, or personal insults.
Some of you chaps should have come along instead of staying indoors arguing about which supercar is better.

For the ignorant trolls that notice how I hold and steer my RS211 with 245/40/17 front tires without power assist on a very rough road surface please try and educate your selfs....
Maybe if you can read this....http://www.formula1-dictionary.net/steering_tech.html
I had a great drive through the Malibu canyons on the way to the beach for lunch.
It's funny to see the Rock Store completely empty when weekends are just jamin.....
Did anyone notice that I had my hands placed at 10:51 and 2:27 ? Oh my what could I've been thinking !!!!!!!!
I didn't see any 991 GT3s today

FWIW you drove her v.well Ronin. Nothing wrong with getting a bit of extra leverage and setting yourself up for the next corner - I use the same technique in my 89 Carrera occasionally when needing extra lock. You remind me of another poster on here who can be a bit full on at times and has also been banned from time to time lol.
Send you turbo S to Todd at Protomotive or Betim at BBI to have a fiddle. You'll be amazed at what they can do with these cars.

Funny thing I just got off the phone with Betim at BBI, I'm going down to talk exhaust and their new Cobb tuning software....Send you turbo S to Todd at Protomotive or Betim at BBI to have a fiddle. You'll be amazed at what they can do with these cars.

Also maybe worth having a look at these new lw wheels for your turbo S. Only one set in the US so far I think!

IMIA nice wheels but I think I'm going with a set of 991 GT3 wheels, after all that is the only thing I like about the car it seems..

I did not criticise, just said it looks hard work. Reminds me of parking a 3.2 - not pleasant.Maybe if you can read this....http://www.formula1-dictionary.net/steering_tech.html

I agree re GT3 wheels. Best looking wheels out there. Also have look at the new GT3 RS aero thats soon going to be available! Yes have seen your 211 many times in white, grey old coupe body, new roadster body etc. Its fantastic and a real work of art imo - love that car with its waste gates chuffing away - who doesn't know it lol We were on the phone for a couple of hours talkin engine tuning and suspension... PS before you go I still want to know why you move your hands about on the steering wheel so much in this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHFwLczVrGw
especially on they way down.
I know quarter to three and ten to two but I never thought I would see 37 minutes past 10.
Compare to

check the lack of hand movement. Spend some money on driving lessons rather than fast cars, you will feel better about it.
