15 991 GT3 for sale on PH
Discussion
Well early yesterday morning an American PH poster called 'The Ronin' enlightened us all what a load of over-hyped cr*p the GT3 really is and now everyone is despairing and trying desperately to off-load them before the whole world finds out
or - maybe the RS allocations are bringing some to the market as not all owners will be able to keep their GT3 when their RS arrives?

Well it has gone sort of. The 991 GT3 RS is now the "latest toy" and has deposed the 991.1 GT3. That's where people see or saw the value in them IMHO. The older stuff hasn't been that for a long time and they are valued for different reasons by many.
Ok, I see what you mean - prices are (were) currently elevated due to the status of the GT3 as the 'latest and greatest' which is no longer the case with the RS imminent.I guess my point was that I don't own my car for it's status so that would not be a factor for what I replaced it with!
I think it's a number of reasons.
- the 991 RS is arriving
- looks like higher numbers of the 991 RS than some originally made out
- prices of Pork generally look to have plateaued
- it may not be the last of the NA GT3s
- rumours of Gen 2s coming
- rumours of a manual version
- the RS and possibly future GT3s not using the same engine as the 991, so it won't be remembered and loved
- it's not a drivers' car in the same way previous GT3s were
All IM vv HO of course.

And so it begins...
Hardly a surprise.
If I was lucky enough to have a 991 GT3 I would keep it - unless I was in it for the "overs" in which case I would flog pronto.
But what do I know? I sold possibly the best RHD 2.2s in the world 2 years ago (error), and a cracking 996GT3 the year before at the bottom of the market (double error).
Third time lucky?

More 991GT3RS will be available than expected - not just '918 customers and a similar number to 997GT3RS4.0' that was rumoured on PH.
No doubt many of these additional RS customers will have GT3s that need outing in the meantime, you'd be crazy to miss an opportunity to make £50k over list in the next couple of months.
Even if you haven't got an RS coming, £50k tax free profit is difficult to ignore on a £110k car.
Oh, and I think the penny has dropped that there weren't 132 991 GT3s - nearer 232.

there were 28 RHD 997 4.0s...
I know to about 6 991GT3s that are for sale due to RSs on the way, all 918 customers, not all 918 customers are the RS type, btw.....
Like I said if I had to call the nos, its 75-100 in total.....
