I thought it was interesting to see that 911 sold 3 x 991 GT3s over this weekend. Looks like sales are going to take off again chaps!!
BS if you ask me. Those cars were £170k plus a few days ago and went to "POA" and all miraculously then sold, whilst stock of (some cheaper) cars at OPCs increased.cc3 said:
Will be interesting to see how prices look in 6 months if a change of government. Exodus on some non doms, mansion tax, 50% tax rate etc. None of this will be positive for the market. Some dealers may catch a cold. LHD market should be ok
Plus with 991 GT3 RS, Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder all arriving a lot of new Porsche entering the market. Are older GT3's and 991 GT3's really worth a premium?
I sense quite a few jumped on the bandwagon when they felt these cars were on the up, but looks like people are looking to cash in now and supply is greater than demand at these prices.

Your contention would seem to sadly be well supported by the sizeable proportion of cars on offer with car park mileage... All those OPC cars where the high miler has only done 3500 miles in 2 years... DiscoColin said:

2 years?Weren't the first cars delivered in November '13 and off the road for a month or two due to the engine change fiasco...
So more like 12-14months.
What was the typical mileage for a 997 GT3 in its first few years of ownership??

But I can answer your question as in a similar age range I was actually tracking the market and can reach for a handy spreadsheet. There were in fact only 5 997.2 GT3s on the market at the time (all being between 12 and 24 months old). The lowest mileage was 18 months old with over 2500 on the clock, then one at 4k, one at 5.5k, one at 10k and one just over 13k (oldest one on the market).
At that point, there was actually twice as much choice of the equivalent (and 6 months younger - none older than 18 months) 997.2RS. Those were generally higher milages than the year to 18 month old 991s are at the moment too (most having 3k-6k on the clock, but with a handful below 2k and one car below 1000 miles).
