mhh - good to see you got a car; i think you posted some questions on Rennlist a couple of weeks ago.

My factory car could be ready for the end of this month, but I'm going to wait to end May so I can collect over there and get on the test track in one of Porsche's. Haven't actually driven one yet - I'm guessing you're the same?

I'm not going to go for the full film protection I don't think, but will cover carbon bits as you can't repaint them. Factory also suggested film over the sills, so they don't get damaged over time.

GT Silver so not the other one in there.
That's right - it's an incoming silver car. The white car is sold.
So he's had a third one in and out in a month, nice going.

Was this car ordered by a Yorkshire local? Friend of a friend had one on order, wondering if this is the same car

£1.2 mill. Wow that's a good return for someone.

If true?

I saw the White Wiessach car yesterday, stunning, and roped off to prevent any dings today!

I suspect a local buyer, John didn't say who, but several trade ins were taken, very nice ones indeed, as part of the deal.

I'm very impressed with the service I'm getting from John Hawkins at Malton. I don't think I've had a dealer reply to emails on an Easter Sunday before! I've got a mate who helped me on the "918 hunt" just get clearance at home to come from Australia to help me take delivery. We'll fly to Manchester in 3 weeks time, grab a 911 rental, take delivery of the 918 in Malton and take a few days to convoy back through England and Wales ending in Bucks where the car will be stored. Once I'm home, I'll plan some decent Euro sorties for later in the year. I can hardly wait!

Do Weissach cars go for any premium? Surprised how few seem to get specced with this pack

both are a substantive premium ,over time feel that a WP car will command more, but they are more to start with.....

Beautiful.

Apparently there is a liquid silver one arriving at an OPC near to me very soon.....

Is that really a £50k option?

Surely not....

OP you should take a run up around Blakey Ridge if you've got time when you pick the car up. Evo shoot up there from time to time and it's made for a decent hooning. John will be sure to know the routes to take from Malton.

Thanks ellroy - we most certainly will. We plan to spend a solid day hunting out some decent Yorkshire roads before heading to Wales. Hopefully, we'll meet some PH'ers along the way.

Emailed you but now we are delayed a week as this will be the first full wrap Paintshield have done on a 918 and they are pretty busy anyway.

Fair question. I wasn't in the market when the car was launched. I don't feel taken advantage of - it's my own silly fault for not moving sooner. I justify the squandering of cash by reminding myself it is still cheaper than a P1. wink
