The market is what it is. I can see why you'd be slightly bitter given that Spyder and Cayman R pricing has remained relatively stagnant while that of GT cars has grown substantially.
Not bitter at all as I love my 2 cars and they are NOT for sale, I maybe slighty annoyed I sold a mint GT3 for £38k and that's £65k now, but that's life. but only annoyed for an investment angle.
but as you wanted that car for £36k you could be bitter you did not pay me £38k also lol

While you still flip a lot of cars I have been like a pig in mud the last 2 years with the current cars I enjoy driving, the stagnant values means I have had 2 years free motoring and they have not gone up enough for me to think "o st I better not drive them"

I still cannot better the Spyder as a usable weekend fun car.
"bitter" was very much tongue in cheek smile

Your 6GT3 looked a lovely example. I can't believe I only tried to chip you by £2k. I must have been feeling generous!!

Sold the GT2 in readiness for the GT4 which then didn't happen when I'd hoped. Thinking ahead I'm hoping GT4 early 2016 and followed on with a gen 2 991 GT3 (if they do a manual).

That statement is not correct.
ok there are 1 or 2 people in the market for LHD but lets face it LHD cars don't sell well in the UK.
Not when left hookers were the same price, but currently we're in the position where a LHD example is £20K better value than a RHD. In those terms it makes a whole lot of sense.

Alternatively I'd prefer a LHD 997.2 to a RHD 997.1.

I'd stick to buying something from EU OPC though. I wouldn't want the risk of a private or independent sale.

If not it may be Mr.D's twin brother. I quote..."This is a fast appreciating car as the market is now waking up to the fact that the Spyder offers one of the best Porsche driving experiences in recent years."

That's got to be the one smile

I would say with leather dash, PCCB and pse it's a very expensive car retail when new.

Radio was a no cost option, perfect spec and 1270kg

Has to be the Best collectors spec or drivers spec, very rare car.

The difference is a CSL without AC and radio is much cheaper to buy used than a car with. Nobody wants a coupe without AC. A Spyder is slightly different.
