Used Porsches sold at OPCs Without Warranty?
Discussion
Looking at the Porsche used car site and I notice a few cars at the lower price end that are listed w/out the 'Porsche Approved' warranty. What's going on there? Does it mean a warranty is still being provided but it isn't the 2 year comprehensive one?
Any insight gratefully received. Thanks.

Porsche warranty can only apply to cars up to 10 years old. So, if the car is over 9 years old you cannot put a 12 month warranty on it.
Do you have any specific examples?

A 2007 (57 plate) Carrera S, 45k on the clock, £35k.
It states 'Porsche Approved' on the Autotrader ad but not on the Porsche used search.
Just an assumption....but Porsche Approved cars now come with 24 months warranty. If it's 8 years old or more then it's not possible to apply a 24 month warranty.
If it's a Porsche Approved car then it should be of a standard to apply the warranty assuming the age allows it. May be worth asking about a 12 month warranty?

Thanks for the answers.
Seems like if I want an OPC 2 year warranty, I need to spend about £35k or so.
£35k is a lot for a warranty :-) no wonder I said no to it. Seems like if I want an OPC 2 year warranty, I need to spend about £35k or so.
Cheers.
