Thanks the car feels like I'm cheating every time I enter a tight corner. The all wheel steering is so nice when you have so much torque mid corner...
Respect to you for being out there and doing it on what look to be great roads (rather than just posing like so many do) respect too for taking the time to make the vid and posting it Impressive video quality too Buuut ......... It all looks just a bit too "easy" and lacking in any sense of engagement or for that matter any real input on your part. That's not a criticism of you, your driving, or your choice of car, it's just that viewing it leaves me feeling very cold, it could almost be a computer game we're watching.
I'm not doubting the car's speed, and yes, I'm sure you're right, the turbo would most likely spank all but the very best drivers in a 991 GT3 (but that too is a car I don't aspire to own)
Personally I'd rather see more vids of you working harder behind the wheel of your RS211, than watch the "computer game" like videos of you behind the wheel of the 991 Turbo
Thanks for posting anyhow, it's 12 degrees and raining here currently .....
The RS211 is much quicker but it requires a different mentality { I don't want to die ] The Turbo S tells me not to wreck a $200k car driving like a fool.
Smooth is good and the more I drive the Turbo S the better I feel as a driver. Now to see if any of that smoothness translates to the RS211 on the same road..
I'm not racing or even pushing it hard so there is no need for a fixed death grip on the wheel or is there a need to apex corners with a car designed to actually corner with it's all wheel drive and all wheel steering and above all stay in it's own lane...
This is an amazing daily driver and all I can say is if you have the funds I highly recommend this car, you won't be disappointed...
I'll continue to drive the safest way I know how and I hope most of you do the same.....
Keep posting videos PistonHeads is better with them..

Sensible use of both sides of the road, where traffic and visibility allows...
You do realise that the 991 GT3 owner who made the video is a regular on here?
There is alway a broken white centerline in the video that makes it legal to cross, no such thing here in California..You do realise that the 991 GT3 owner who made the video is a regular on here?

The beauty about driving here in California is most drivers in the canyons know the written rule to never cross the centerline and the potential consequences for being an A Hole thinking they are "outlaws".....Oh yeah I've been banned form ste forums for pointing out the crap being sold and not taking some keyboard warrior's BS.... That must make me an outlaw...
Now lets see some more "good" Porsche driving on "roads" videos... Not some self promoting do nothing but color by number turning turd to colored turd modifications driving like a tool....
I think it would be too cool to see what kind of times he could run if he had to stay in one lane....

Ok why don't you come over here and rent any Porsche you can and let's have a little drive through the canyons together no speed limit, you follow me and keep behind me and only one rule, you can't cross the centerline... We'll mount cameras on the drivers door to record the drive and let's put a $100.00 penalty on each infraction...I'm sure with your superior driving skills you should clean up...... Or
Please troll elsewhere you are a bore .....

Rather than continuing with the insults, why don't you actually answer the question...??!!
What insults, you two are trolls with zero skills as far as I can tell. Please move on and troll elsewhere...
I never really cared about Porsche hillclimbs before put this is pretty good...

Jeez - this is getting all skewed!!!
In the UK, most or possibly all good 'advanced' instructors will tell you to widen the approach wherever possible and safe. Seeing further ahead and straightening out the road to allow a more fluid progress is encouraged.
And you know what - it's PERFECTLY SAFE.
You don't do it on blind corners
You don't do it at stupid speeds
You do it when t's PERFECTLY SAFE.
The only times doing this would result in a situation in the above photo is doing it when you cannot see far enough ahead and by taking stupid chances. None of us are suggesting that.
I understand that you have unbroken lines in the US but that's just a legal issue as has been pointed out.
Take the time to look up driver/rider fatalities on Mulholland Hwy and Angeles Crest Hwy and you will change your tune. There are fatalities here every weekend due to the heroes and zeros on the road..... I have called the rescue team in three times over the years.... Two guys didn't make it.In the UK, most or possibly all good 'advanced' instructors will tell you to widen the approach wherever possible and safe. Dude twist and deflect as much as you like it still makes you a troll.... Go away boy you bother me..
Now this is a cool Porsche hillclimb video with the driver doing what it takes for him to stay in control....
Awesome..

Speeding through the canyons seems to be accepted yet crossing the line (even when safe to do so) is a big no-no?
I just don't get it
Anyway, ronin, is this you in the 458

Come on now we all know speed doesn't kill, it's lack of control when moving quickly that will do you in.....I just don't get it
