Hold on didn't all and sundry widely proclaim the 991 gt3 not to understeer 2 years ago? now the RS doesn't and the gt3 does.. fascinating that, just as the 991 gt3 didn't understeer and the 7.2 did, and so on so forth.
Can't wait for the next GT car to 'not understeer like the 991 RS'.....

+1 it is an oft repeated pattern. Read the reviews of the 7.1 RS ... I guess they don't think they under steer then drive the GT4 platform, then all 911's feel like under steer again :-p
No one ever said the 458s under steers, still the best car to own today imo, and just won Autocar 5 star award as test champion !

So looking forward to the 458 Speciale test versus 991 GT3RS test. Hope that it is a good one that encompasses all aspects of ownership as well as performance . No one ever said the 458s under steers, still the best car to own today imo, and just won Autocar 5 star award as test champion !

mmmmmm on my 3rd 991Turbos, after over 30k miles since Aug 13, don't agree that the width of the car is an issue, never a problem in any way...Also why no mention of the induction noise......lower active damping..etc.

Hi Apolo , where have you been ? I sort of think these initial impressions are a little understated. We have Car thinking that maybe that the RS is not quite up to being a DD and My mate Chris Harris is moaning that perhaps it is a little too wide. There is still some nonsense about manual gear boxes though as Andreas P, whatever states is that if you want the fastest you want the PDK box . Cannot wait for the Vid!!robgt3 said:

Hi RI am banned from the main RS thread, and the GT3 had been done to the death...so been waiting for this.....I agree hope the vids better......

I would have thought chris could do better than that,but in some areas a bit more honest.
I bet none of the cars will be any where near 1400 kg,as normal the best turn in front end grip of any 911 yet again,what do you expect with 265 front tyres,rear wheel steer nonsense and electronics.its getting more remote from a 911 every day.
The fact is the cars are now huge,using crazy size wheels and unobtainable tyres,automatic and electronics to spoil the so called drivers car,leave all that on a standard production car,and make a proper sports car again.
Any car can understeer or oversteer or spin like a top,depending on settings and lay out,if you want downforce be prepared for less top speed,may be the gt3 will be faster!
For chris to even mention a 911r in this article, is total lack of respect of a true r,and what the r and rs/rsr ethos is all about!
