As per title, anyone dealt with them?
Have a guy keen to do a deal.

Cheers

My only experience was when I went to view a 348 that was totally miss-described.

Another day I won't get back. frown

Depends what the deal is I guess.
If they want to buy your car whats the difference between them and any other dealer.
If its a SOR basis then that's a different cattle of fish

Thanks for the heads up.
I had never heard of them before and am obviously nervous handing over the 964.
Who knows, they could have a reputation of thrashing and trashing and handing it back saying they could not sell it.
No deal has been done yet so I dont know what the options are, but I like to go into things with eyes open!

If you are looking to sell to a dealer, get them to buy outright.
911Virgin seem to buy theirs in rather than SOR.

Or sell privately, air cooled stuff seems to moving at a fair pace, I can't imagine you'd have any issues selling.

Unless Supercar showrooms have a buyer then I wouldn't leave it.

As your car is a modified 964 turbo and quite niche, I'd suggest speaking to JZM, as they deal in more high end, limited and modified Porsche than anyone in the UK. They're in Kings Langley, Herts (J20, M25), so not far from Essex.

Worth ensuring you have copies of the magazine article featuring your car as that will add to it's history.

Wasn't there a guy on here who recently lost his Monaro to a SOR trader? Seemed a very risky set up to the seller.

Talk to 911virgin. Very good experience of selling to them.

I would not touch SOR for many reasons.

911V or JZM defo if they'll have it on SOR. They're quite fussy about what they sell which gives buyers confidence.

Not helpful to the thread, but I think I saw your car at DSD a month or so ago. If so, it is simply stunning.

Are you sure? What about Specialist Cars Of Malton?

I sold my 964 C2 tip through a specialist this way. Agreed price, cash in my bank account 5 weeks later.
Saved me a lot of hassle, and I don't think I would have got any more for it selling privately

Nothing against 911V (they've sold at least three cars for me on SOR) or indeed JZM, but the OP has had his car on the market sometime now, clearly with no takers.

It has only been advertised on P/Heads a few months, and before hand loosly for sale at the Porsche meeting at Brands last year, with mentions of it being available on here.
Firstly, despite plenty of interest I am not in desperate to sell, hence the calls to steal it washed over me like water over rocks.
Then I had others who saw the car, wanted it but unfortunately the bonus didn't drop into their account as expected, or the sale of the flat stalled.
And the man who thought it lacked mid range (it does, big cams and turbos tend to do that, you dont get big power for free)

If it was a flatnose 3.6 (of which only 3 were brought to the UK, and I think only two are still here) then who knows price wise, £500,000-£750,000 with the way things currently are?

I had a call from Roger from Supercar Rooms yesterday, so they are going to pop down to appraise the car next week.
It will be interesting to see how they approach this.
Many thanks for the advice.

Why not speak with Supercar Showrooms, JZM and 911 Virgin about how each would recommend selling and at what price, then make a decision.

Worth the time to get the best option which works for you.

SCOM certainly have some unusual cars at some extreme prices. Can't comment on how many they sell as many seem to remain on same for quite some time (probably due to pricing).

JZM (Herts) is easier for the OP (Essex), they certainly have a history of offering an amazing selection of Porsche, I'm sure the OP's modified 964 turbo would fit in.

Plus JZM is more accessible to London which will increase the potential buyers.

I have no tie to JZM, apart from living fairly close and having used them for servicing in the past.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this car at JZM. She's lovely and the engine sounds like a masterpiece although whatever the OP thinks if you want to drive her as intended she will definitely need constant rebuilds as most very high HP cars doing dragging events need by the way. I have friends who spend £30k-£50k every year rebuilding their engines for a fresh year of competition. You need deep pockets if you're going to drive the wheels off her and brass balls. Cosseting and tucking that beast away in a collection would be a shame.
