How about looking in the classifieds?

I've been looking at them for a while. There are always more 7.2 GT3 RSs for sale than non-RS. Look at OPC Exeter - they've had a LHD for sale for months and months at £85k so assuming you're looking for RHD, I'd concur with DT398's estimate of £95k.

My issue is having to sell my even rarer(!) 997.2 Targa 4S at least 3 times over to get one!

Also watch out for RO59 YDT if it ever comes on the OPC market. It's a black one currently working at PEC Silverstone!

I think mine is the only one on the market at the moment - a little under 13k miles / white / buckets / full leather / mint / approved warranty to May 2016 - these will undoubtedly be a future classic so I am holding out for £100k

can I ask why you'd stay away from a Silverstone working car?

They simply get a really hard life and really work for a living! I 'hired' one for a precision driving course and all I can say it that I'm glad I didn't use my own car to demo the effectiveness of the car's traction control, whilst pinning the throttle flat in first gear round the low friction handling circuit.

Definitely check for over revs too. I remember one of the Driving Consultants telling me that the GT3 we were driving had been over revved so hard it had jumped the timing chain. This could all have been bullsh*t mind (I'm sure someone will be along to correct saying it's not mechanically possible wink) but the point he was making is that the cars get a real hammering and often treated with little/no mechanical sympathy!

In comparison hire cars lead a charmed life compared with some of the cars at the PEC smile I for one would steer well clear.
